  1. I looked at his season stats and it seems Ward certainly hasn't been bad in the least. That said, I've read stuff saying he's made inopportune mistakes against good competition in big games. Maybe that's not really true. I haven't seen enough of him to say.
  2. Hasn't Ward had consistency and turnover problems over the years?
  3. Starting to think Samples is a bigger charlatan than Deion. The bright side is that at least you know that kids willing to fall for this stuff probably aren't likely to have what it takes in the long run. It's a shame in this case because Barnes seemed like an honest and forthright kid. Even if it's just a money deal for a visit, it's still a red flag.
  4. Speaking of Oregon, I'm thinking the "Gabriel for Heisman" odds took a hit. He had some yards, but he hardly looked like an elite QB.
  5. Kind of embarrassing that what was supped to be about the fifth best SEC team lost to about the fifth best Big 10 team at a neutral site. Up to the Longhorns to redeem conference honor Saturday.
  6. The Irish could go 12-0 and you still couldn't convince me they aren't a joke. Mountain West teams have tougher schedules. That schedule is embarrassing.
  7. I went back and watched the film of the criminal interlopers, concentrating on the o-line. Unless Bedenbaugh pulls a miracle, we'll beat them by at least thirty.
  8. We'll see what Weigman is made of now. That was horrible.
  9. The o-line for the criminals had problems too. Interesting to see how this plays out. The good news for them is that Arnold didn't turn the ball over.
  10. As we enter the season, I would like to reiterate that Paul Howe chose to live in east Texas.
  11. Is this a joke?
  12. Is meth still a big problem in the land of the criminal interlopers? Checking out their sites, they seem to think they're likely to beat Tennessee, Auburn and Missouri. They say Texas, Ole Miss, Alabama and LSU are "toss ups." Meaning they'll win nine or ten games and "compete for the playoff." Optimism is one thing; blind idiocy is something else.

  13. Jackson Arnold is a DJU kind of QB.
  14. We know that Williams is planning to enroll in January. Will he play baseball for the Longhorns at that time?
  15. Countdown to anything boys. Real Texas stuff.
  16. By the way, that was the 80s in Gilmer, Texas.
  17. I remember singing The Eyes every morning in elementary school after the pledge of allegiance and right before the prayer.
  18. What they can expect.
  19. Nice to see the criminal interloper fan base is finally waking up to the QB problem. When a guy throws multiple pics every practice, turned it over four times in his only start, and, most importantly, isn't getting better with practice, then you have a processing/cognitive problem. I hope he's still starting when we play them 12 October. They can replace him after that.
  20. Buchanan kind of had to act stupid during the Schlossngle deal. If he didn't, he would have been roasted by the fan base. Now, maybe he was just saying what he really thought. My point is that in terms of football, Buchanan is more reasonable than the others.
  21. I'm deliberately placing this in non-descript thread. These guys and their numbers are waring on me. We need to get back to the day when they assigned a number and told them to shut the hell up. Damn prima donnas are ruining the game.
  22. Good stuff. Word out of the OU scrimmage is that the offense was "limited." No kidding. Criminal interloper idiots will go crazy in late October when Gabriel is winning big at Oregon while Arnold is throwing multiple interceptions every game. Nice job Venables.
  23. Maybe it ain't fair, but I don't like a guy saying "facts" every thirty seconds. My standard for greatness is just going out and kicking ass on every one in the world. I've posted this before, but the greatness standard for me is 22 year old Kobe literally taking over the world of sport. Sark agrees since he has a quote about Kobe over the lockerroom door. Go get it Longhorns!
  24. Gundy is about five times smarter than Venables. OK State will be better than the Sooners over the next five to seven years. They've been better the last three years.
  25. I'd agree with Bobby and go with Oregon. I think they're only returning three starters on defense. They have a lot of transfers that may or may not work. Hope is not strategy for success.
