  1. I don't think the NIL budget keeps them from running a actual offense.
  2. Sayin (OSU QB) is not a runner or strong athlete. He's a passer. He may have great pocket presence, but it doesn't seem likely it will be overly advanced in his first start against the Texas level of defense.
  3. Gerry, you peaked our interest by mentioning a Leonard Davis recruiting story that you couldn't explain on youtube.
  4. Hard to see Nate Oats leaving Bama for Texas.
  5. Sellers as a passer seems suspect to me. I've watched him in three games (A&M, Clemson and Illinois). His throwing motion was pretty long and slow. He lacked touch and consistent accuracy. Obviously he can and should improve, but that throwing motion could be a problem. If Nussmeier doesn't cure his turnover problem, there's no way he's the top QB in the SEC. Even that might not be enough.
  6. We can't run an offensive set. We dribble and shoot a bad shot.
  7. This time last year it was clear that Texas couldn't run an offense. It was noted that the Longhorns needed to stop wasting time and change the leadership of the program. There was pushback by moderators here that Terry needed time to get "his guys." He has his guys and it's even worse now.
  8. I loved Uecker on Carson more than anything else.
  9. Blake, as I'm sure you guys know, Mr. Baseball, Bob Uecker passed away yesterday. I loved watching him on TV when I was a kid.
  10. True, but by the end of the season Simmons, Wingo, and Goosby were de facto starters. Although four o-line guys are gone, three of their replacements (all but Baker) have significant experience. While Arch is likely to have a learning curve, doesn't seem likely to be as steep as Sayin or Stockton.
  11. Think they're losing a total of seventeen or eighteen starters. Hard to replace that much in one off-season.
  12. Where's Quinn's official declaration?
  13. That call don't mean nothing. I hope Arch took the loss to Ohio State personally, like Kobe took the loss to the Spurs personally in 1999.
  14. I'd much rather keep Blue than Bond. Blue makes plays and scores touchdowns. He doesn't pout or quit.
  15. Wingo can more than replace Bond. Another spring in the playbook and conditioning with Becton will work wonders. Get him, Livingstone, Moore and a freshman or two on the same page with Arch, and production will follow. If you can get a speed guy in the portal, fine, but there's enough talent already.
  16. Sure it's a variation of the WR diva deal. It seemed pretty obvious in the A&M and SEC title game that he was either lacking effort or concentration, which wouldn't be the result of a gimpy ankle. His ankle was rolled again in the SEC title game. The last game he looked good was Florida, and he looked really good then.
  17. I hope Sark has Ewers throw it at least fifty times.
  18. Quinn produces more than almost everyone else. That's what Sark is looking at. He's not worried about "it." Maybe Arch would produce more, but Sark obviously isn't convinced, otherwise he'd switch.
  19. Quinn hasn't played a down in the NFL. As I said, he's been much been much better than Tom Brady in college despite Gerry saying he shouldn't even be drafted.
  20. No, defense was great as always. I love our defense. Point is that people who are complaining about Quinn in the red zone are off base. He could have hit a few throws. He more than made a few during the game otherwise. Georgia pressured him as much as they did first time, but he responded this time. He moved up in the pocket and made throws. He scrambled out of the pocket and made throws. He played well. We can't complain just because he didn't make every throw. He made most of the throws he should have. More than enough to win the game. Lots of drops.
  21. Quinn passed for something like 360 yards and a touchdown. Georgia QBs didn't. Quinn can't stop Etienne from scoring a touchdown in OT.
  22. I think Bert Auburn is the reason Texas lost, not Quinn Ewers.
  23. You think Quinn is the reason Texas lost?
  24. Gerry literally said Quinn shouldn't be drafted. That's seven rounds boys. And he thinks Quinn shouldn't be picked. With friends like that you don't need enemies.
