    What happened when they needed throw strikes but couldn't? You can say they didn't "execute," but you can't compete without executing under pressure.

    Gerry, the sticking point is "on command." Do they score more than 80 some of the time? Of course, but they don't score more than 80 every time, especially not against the best competition later in the tournament. Coaches would always like to score as much as possible. That would be "on command."

    Title game was called differently than all the other games. That's always the case. Point is, plenty of teams succeeded in the tournament without scoring big. Latest "trends" indicate you need size and defense more than scoring. There's no denying that. That being the case, we need a 4 that can rebound and muscle more than space and shoot. If you can shoot 1-3, that will provide more than enough space.

    The most disappointing thig is that the team just hasn't been ready to compete. First game was close, but literally couldn't throw a strike when needed. Game two was a joke all around. This is not a good sign for the postseason.

    Not until they get another rotational guard. This is an upgrade from Jordan Pope. Lew Alcindor (now Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) is widely considered the greatest college basketball player of all time. This is what Matas needs to think about when he says Arvydas is his favorite player.

    Really good start. Now we need a bruiser 4 player. Contrary to what Gerry says, you ain't gotta score 80 (neither Michigan nor Florida did in the title game), but you must rebound and defend the paint.

    I'll add that while Wenbayama is really good, other players have had better numbers in a tougher league at the same age.

    Don't know why the NBA still has an all-defense team. NBA hasn't played defense since the Warriors won their first title in 2015 and the pencil goober offensive efficiency nerds took over. Worst thing that ever happened to basketball in history.
