Kavian Bryant’s next Texas visit
Assistant Regional Manager replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
It doesn’t. I was just responding to the original premise that Texas Tech is going to win the Kavian Bryant recruit because they negatively recruited Quinn Ewers draft position. -

Does it really matter then if it’s business decisions and NIL? Who cares if it’s a HS prospect or a portal prospect. - Today

Your one letter typo completely changed the meaning of your thread title.

All Tech needs to do is point to Mahomes and Cody Campbell’s wallet. -

Brother, you can try to convince yourself otherwise but most of these decisions are money driven. Miami is going to try to tell a HS QB to not trust Texas’ development when Miami has had to go to the portal 3 straight years for a QB? Before Sayin, Ohio State had 3 straight cycles where they QB signee transferred. None of these schools have pristine track records. It’s college football. Trying to say Texas had a QB “only” go in the 7th round of the NFL draft is a waste of time. -
I've said it before: I don't get the Mateer hype. Most of the the OTF guys buy it. You watch him meander around and make a play every once and while and think what's so great. The criminals have yet to play a high level team. The refs literally gave them the Auburn game. It sure as heck wasn't Mateer lighting it up. Gonna need to show some receipts here in the not too distant future.

Definitely not saying Tech can/will use that but Ohio State, Miami (Ward/Beck), Alabama, and any other top school can/will pull that card -
i would put Arch up against Mateer in Red River Rivalry. Arch will out play him the next two years . “ Hookem “ Doubtful Mateer will score on our Defense. 💥

I hope they hire Bill Belecheck away from UNC!

I would want Texas to beat them at full strength

This is going to sound crazy, but a lot of Florida's failures are on Lagway. Yeah, sometimes Billy can get in his own way with some of his calls or not relying on his running game. I've watched all of Florida's games at least twice and Lagway and his decision making have been awful. -
You could probably make a solid argument that it's already 3 tiered - those with near-zero hope of making the playoff (half? more?), those with a chance every few years if things break right for them, and the 15-20 true heavyweights whose fan bases will be angry if they are NOT in the running for the CFP at least every couple years.

He has an offer according to 247Sports so yes. How much interest, I'm not sure but would think a lot.

NIL gone wrong. Glad its a problem that we haven't experienced. I think they should run the ball more to take the pressure off of him. Wont work against our defense but may help them in the long run.
