  3. On Jackson's long run, Biles blitzed on the offense's right side and got pushed up the field just like Collin was all day. The DE on that end looped inside a little and the guard sealed him. Then our DBs all playing man left the right side of the field wide open. The great scrambler that Jackson is took advantage of our bad rush integrity and coverage scheme.
  4. You keep me entertained bro 😂
  5. It’s about the only good I do on the board 😂🤣
  6. Did we just become best friends. Ha.
  7. Thanks for sharing Joe ! 🤘🏻
  8. That’s always the best part of week 1. We literally know nothing and are making massive extrapolations. It’s so fun.
  9. I do not disagree with your assessment, and given the talent it is a real possibility. My issue was doing a comparison of UT versus the other teams I saw while taking into account the competition. Was Clemson really that bad or is LSU that much better? Wisconsin had moments but ND looked pretty solid. And the Louisville Ole Miss game both teams looked good. I could go on with this, but I think my question mark right now is where are we compared to these teams? I know, first game of the season, but I think some luck will come into play. I anxiously await tOSU game to get a real sense of the possibilities for this season.
  10. DL play was fine. We played a light box to focus on stopping the SWTS passing game. Mission accomplished. Pro QB Jackson was held to 6 yards and change per attempt; 8 yards per attempt is the standard. Our pass rush focused on containing Jackson. We lost contain once and you saw what happened. Anytime you play a light box, it is inevitable that you will give up some rushing yards. tOSU gave up 150 yards to us last year with a light box and they had a very good defense. So, I’m not worried about our DL. Anytime we needed to stuff their run, we stuffed their run.
  11. I have no concerns or apprehensions just appreciate the way our team played . First half alone sark played over 50 different players. Anxiously awaiting Ohio State game.
  12. OkState with the worst loss of the weekend IMO. Eric Morris and his QB flopped vs. Tulsa https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/49850053/college-football-week-1-overreactions-lsu-clemson-michigan-alabama

  16. I understand the concern and angst over the DL play, I really do, but - it was the first game. This was in fact a dress rehearsal game, so to speak. We have some very talented coaches who will fine-tune this Ferrari of a team that we have, and then we can see how truly good we are. I'm actually glad that the DL ran into what seemed to be a well coached OL in the first game. Time to coach them up and get them fired up, frothing at the mouth. HookEm.
  17. Run & Shoot offenses (sorry if terminology is wrong) will always bring out the good and the bad in a secondary. They are constantly on the clock, being challenged. Against osu we need DL penetration (will they ever call holding?), and Biles disrupting the pocket will help limit J Smith and company.
  18. It’s definitely not helping his football development. He needs football consistency as a player new to the game. I don’t care if he only plays against 1 DI EDGE player all year, reps at tackle is what would be best for him as someone that just began playing in recent years. With that said, his best football is way out in front of him. He needs to bake and development too, so there is that part of the equation.
  19. Don't want to dis a kid who doesn't know what he's talking about because he's too young to know better. Marcus got Shaq about Kareem. Got Shaq above Kobe. Got Shaq above Magic. Don't know what he's talking about. Can't root for dumbassness.
  20. @Gerry Hamilton It's all Jerrys. Why do you think Jerry West and Jerry Buss thought Kobe was better than Shaq? When Shaq recently said Lakers fans loved Kobe more than him, I thought no crap genius. I became a Lakers fan in 1978 watching Kareem when I was 5. I never considered Shaq anywhere close to Kareem, Kobe or Magic. Fatboy wouldn't work. Jerry West told us in June 1996 that Kobe was more important Shaq.
  21. There's quite a few teams on the schedule that have OL's and good RB's. So I'm sure if we're seeing it, Muschamp is seeing it, too. I was just a bit surprised by that, considering the positive reports we heard about the DL.
  22. Yeah, dude is legit but you can't hero ball against quality teams. He'll probably keep them in games they wouldn't otherwise be able to win but I just can't see him putting the team on his shoulders. Their D looked terrible out there and he wasn't getting much help from elsewhere either.
  23. He'll play tackle. Alan isn't stupid.
  24. why Ismael Camara not playing LT, but DT and not even a OL starter. Dont understand the choice. Even for him, it's not cool not having rep at his real position
  25. Texas State didn’t accidentally stumble into yards - they straight‑up moved our front more than they should’ve. Everybody wants to talk about the passing game, but the run defense was the part that actually made me sit up. Our DL wasn’t denting the line, wasn’t striking consistently, and way too often they were catching blocks instead of delivering the first blow. Edges were soft, too. They got reach blocks on our DEs like it was a walkthrough. Outside zone, split zone, wide splits - Texas State basically said “let’s make Texas defend space,” and our front didn’t compress it. Young LBs flashed, but the fits weren’t clean, and when your DL isn’t giving you knock‑back, that problem gets magnified. Yeah, they only scored 7, but don’t kid yourself - they moved the ball because they won leverage. That’s the part that doesn’t translate well when you start playing teams with actual RBs and OLs. If we don’t get more violent at the point of attack, better teams will punish that. Texas State actually outrushed us.
