  1. Past hour
  2. Weaver eligible to play for another team for now.
  3. I didn’t realize how many monsters we have at DT. Dominating the line of scrimmage really trickles down to the rest of the defense. Not only can they stop the run, but it will free up pass rushers and prevent WRs from having enough time to get open.
  4. He missed all of spring practice and wasn't cleared from his shoulder surgery until a few weeks ago.
  5. They should be student athletes. They should have to attend classes. Carson Beck received far greater benefit from college football than he gave to it for example. As I understand it, he wasn’t actually a student attending classes. That’s ridiculous. The SEC is protecting Kentucky and Vanderbilt and maybe some others. The Big 10 is protecting others yet little talk about kicking them out. lots of talking out each side of the mouth.
  6. My last football game as a student. Great way to go out. If stupid Nebraska would have beaten Clemson in the Orange Bowl later that day we might have backed into a National Championship.
  7. Why is Jonah so low in depth chart can he not win that starting job? Or at least play a good portion of the game
  8. Graham baby! I wasn’t born when he played but those number don’t lie.
  9. One of my favorite Cotton Bowls ever!
  10. Today
  11. Depth upside is majorly exciting. Good stuff.
  12. According to the Texas baseball program, RHP Sam Cozart recently underwent "minor foot surgery as a preventative measure to address a previous injury." While Cozart is expected to be limited during offseason workouts, he's on track to be ready to go for the start of the 2027 season. The expectation is that the NCBWA Stopper of the Year will move into the weekend starting rotation, forming a potentially dominant 1-2 pitch with All-American Dylan Volantis. As a freshman, Cozart led Division I among pitchers who threw at least 50 innings in WHIP (0.73) and batting average against (.140). He was second in the nation with a 1.72 ERA, trailing only UC Santa Barbara's Jackson Flora, who was selected by the San Francisco Giants with the fourth overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. Cozart, who went 6-0 on the mound, recorded nine saves, which tied him for the Division I lead among freshmen.

  13. Completely agree. That said, I've been burned so many times betting the over on season passing yard totals. The only one I seem to have gotten right was taking Jackson Arnold's under on passing yards last year.
  14. Grudens reaction during his QB camp
  15. He’d be the fifth or sixth tackle to go into a game. He’s on par with Sharma but behind Watson. Texas has listed two tackle spots and a nose tackle on the depth chart under Sark. We'll see if it stays that way.
  16. Is Myron Charles really the 2nd team DT, or would a NT play before him in a 4-3 or 4-2-5 defense? Curious how Charles compares to Sharma or Watson in the pecking order at DT
  17. That's nonsense when you say, "it's not fair." These are student athletes. They are not getting a salary for a job. No one is arguing they should not be able to profit off their popularity, hence NIL legislation, but that is a long way from pay to play. Again, if this is going to be nothing but a G-League for the NFL where players are paid for a job, then the schools need to divest of this nonsense and let the NFL find investors for each team, a city to locate them in, and finally a NFL club to link them to. If on the other hand they want to preserve college football and the collegiate athlete, then they need legislation that allows them to do that.
  18. His hearing is scheduled for Tuesday. EDIT: After I posted this, we learned that his hearing has been moved to Aug. 10.
  19. The NCAA has always been broken. What you believe in in how these kids are student athletes doesn't exist anymore. Most of these "athletes" probably don't even go to class anymore. Gerry has hinted at this on numerous occasions. The genie is out of the bottle and it ain't going back in. Forget what college sports used to be. This is a new era, embrace it or move onto something else.
