I should add that Odysseus means "enemy" in Greek, which was also a role that Kobe embraced. -
We went to the Scheels at the Colony last night. It is truly a unique, insanely huge sports store.

I have more stuff for you @Jordan91. When my daughters were growing up during the 2000s, I'd wake them up at 6:00 AM to read classics in the mornings during the summer (Plato, Aristotle, Dante, Homer, Virgil, Herodotus, etc.), and then we'd watch the Lakers in the Finals at night. We were reading The Odyssey during June 2009. The day we read book 22, in which Odysseus kills the antagonist Antinous (which means "anti-mind" in Greek) by shooting him in the throat with an arrow, and follows it up by telling his 20 year old son Telemachus (which means power crossing over or moving to) not to celebrate because the fight isn't yet over yet, Kobe made his famous statement after taking a 2-0 lead over the Magic in the Finals ("What's there to be happy about? Job's not finished. Job finished? I don't think so."). I let them stay up late that night to watch the postgame stuff. My youngest daughter immediately made the connection between Odysseus and Kobe. Yesterday, she called me and said we need to go see the film The Odyssey next week when it's released and wear our Kobe jerseys. That's the power of admiring greatness when you grow up. -
I live a couple stop lights from the new cedar park one…. For a “sports” store that building is insane and rumor is they’ll have a freaking Ferris wheel inside the damn place. Lol it looks bigger than the HeB Center which it’s right next to. gonna be cool to see that place when it opens that’s for sure.

Conor is done. What a disappointment.

Patience…to the the kids and their families, this is a life altering decision.

This guy knows his stuff I think. Have watched him on SEC network.
-
Well that's probably because he's a Georgia guy lol.
-
He is a Georgia fan, but he is also pretty honest about his analysis of other teams and players.
-
I think Brooks has some good takes and good analysis. His arguments are usually logical and fact based and not emotional or biased, unlike a lot of other clickbait pundits. Him saying we have the most talented and deep team all around is an opinion, but it is also one I agree with.
-
Dude always has an underlying Georgia agenda.

I don’t agree with BOH about the art itself. I benefited for years from it but cut the crap regarding the ufc. It’s wwe with skill. Money is the only goal. Leader slapped his wife penalty free and runs the company like he owns the fighters. Very little local dojo spirit that was just described. Conor? Hilarious. Found liable of sexual assault in a civil suit. Accused of additional sexual assault, assault, reckless driving, etc. Tonight was karma. Plain and simple. It was karma for him and for the fans that worship and pay him which only reinforces how he acts. Hopefully, it’s the last we hear of him. We need more Max and far less Conor.

I always say that the previous national championship winner should be #1.

Film Guy put Texas as number 1 in his top 25. Here we go with the rat poison

Lord almighty! What 17-18 year old is saying no to that? Lol. Dream come true for the young buck and a good paycheck to go with it. Best of luck to him.

Martial arts is about self defense, discipline and harnessing your talent to be the best you can be and help others. If you ever go to a jiu jitsu, wrestling , boxing camp you will absolutely be humbled and improve as a human being. These aren't thugs, in fact thugs get humbled quickly in the fight game.

Longhorns in the NBA Summer League

Not only nice seeing the Lakers destroy the Mavs summer league team, but Arthur Kaluma making Morez look like a chump. -

You wrote that like the board asked you to testify before the Parenting Commission. Nobody’s kids are becoming delinquents because someone watched a prelim.

I agree but if he had a sprain which is a partial tear he's an absolute moron for throwing that kick. I think he was healthy and envisioned throwing that kick to prove to everybody he's healthy and unfortunately at his age he can't do the things he used to be able to do. Everybody has wear and tear but his knee exploded on that landing for sure. Whether it was somewhat compromised you may be correct, but it definitely went out big time on that silly attempt. He was watching too much world cup. If he was hurt I think he would have used his hands to take off his shoes. Taking them off by stepping on the back heel is a no no when you're hurt.

I get the cope and wanting any good news after the gut punches of Bumila and Peterson. But Blake has been saying all along that the whole HS class will for sure make it to campus with the exceptions of Emerson (obviously) and Harris (not likely) and the open questions around Bumila and Peterson. Whether the rest of our HS class announces they're "removing themselves from the rest of the draft" (which is new and weird) or not, they're in the bag. Not news, nor am I celebrating.

I agree, but......Fighters almost never enter a camp - or a fight --- at 100%. If Holloway had a nagging knee issue before the fight, that’s normal. If he then tweaked it worse in Round 1, that’s also normal. Those two things don’t contradict each other at all. I'm not saying he came into the fight with an injured knee - but others are saying it. I just questioned this
