  1. Past hour
  2. I’m an OG but O is old 🙂 Attended the Penn state game in Austin in 1989 and was hooked. Graduated in 2001. Have missed one home game in person since 1999. Bobby is the goat in this industry. Glad to be here.
  3. Remember that Billy’s TD well!
  4. I love that almost National Treasures autos are on-card. I’m hoping losing the NFL license means Panini will go all in on making their collegiate products top notch.
  5. No idea what I’m talking about? Except I’ve done it with every sporting event or concert I’ve ever gone to and didn’t have tickets. Including UT football.
  6. First in person - 1966 Bluebonnet Bowl at Rice Stadium. Horns rolled over Ole Miss.
  7. Sorry I missed Ted. Billy entered the 1970 Cotton Bowl game against ND after Ted got knocked out. Then Billy scored the winning touchdown.
  8. Think it was 1980. Texas vs Houston in Austin. Born a Texas fan.
  9. The fourth down stop against k-state in 2023. Underrated
  10. I just want to say welcome to all the new members who join this place is a blast and the best even if some of the mods are Aggies and sooner fans we still accept them
  11. Growing up in NM, we don't really have a team to root for in college or the pros. When I was old enough to drive, not legally but we lived on a ranch, my mom let me drive over to my grandma's house by myself for the first time to watch a certain national championship game featuring Texas vs USC. I went into the game not rooting for anyone. When VY ran that TD in on 4th and 5, I was hooked. Literally and figuratively. I will remember that night forever. I've been chasing that feeling ever since!
  12. That’s Tickle Me Elko or Lame Kiffin for sure.
  13. No worries my man. I had to double check myself.
  14. Today
  15. The judge for the injunction case
  16. Skenes stopped hitting when he got to LSU. Ohtani is a once-in-a-lifetime type of player. There are always exceptions. I was speaking more about guys at Texas and prospects coming from high school to college.
  17. First game to attend was TTU 1963. Texas band day, now long gone. 🙁
  18. 57 catches for 1,093 yards and 14 TDs on 19.2 yards per catch in 12 games as a junior
  19. The best WR prospect to come out of Longview since Jalen Hale in the 2023 class
  20. My first memory of Texas football was the 1964 Cotton Bowl and I hated them. Texas was # 1, Navy (!!) was # 2 with the Heisman Trophy winner Roger Staubach. I was a teenager growing up living at a small South Carolina beach town. The game was played just a few weeks after the assassination of President Kennedy (in Dallas), a former Navy officer and hero in WW II. Fair to say the sentiments of the nation outside the state of Texas leaned heavily to Navy. My dad had served in the navy during WW II in the Pacific, working the engine room on a heavy cruiser, so he was of course a big Navy fan. And Roger was easy to pull for. Didn't know anything about Texas. It was a massacre, 28-0 before Navy scored a late TD. Didn't like Texas for a decade after that but I got over it when I received a graduate scholarship to UT in 1973 lol.
  21. Grew up in North Jersey and now live in Charlotte. My first Texas memory in general was watching TJ Ford around the age of 8 as I was a basketball junkie. Funny enough, my first real memory of Texas Football was @ Ohio State and VY's pass to Limas Sweed. College Sports weren't huge growing up in the northeast (unless you liked PSU) so my friends would always call me crazy for staying in / watching all the games on Saturday's as opposed to NFL on Sunday.
