  1. Past hour
  2. Sark calls an offense his team cannot support. The o-line can’t support deep route concepts and arch can’t throw shorter routes. We could run the ball, but that’s hard out of 2nd and 10. It looks, to me anyway, the team should be a 60/40 run team with passes built off of that, but sark isn’t willing to do it. So what you get is a clunky poorly timed offense with no rhythm.
  3. I can't say for certain why it works or doesn't work in the NFL, but there's plenty of evidence that it hasn't typically worked in college. Is it possible a college head coach has more day to day responsibilities than an NFL coach? Like recruiting for instance.
  4. Saying the system sucks and is poorly coordinated is a bit strong. Special teams and Arch lost the game, not offensive coordination. You can certainly argue that many of Arch's mistakes ultimately land at Sark's feet, but that doesn't mean the "system" sucks.
  5. https://x.com/longhornhq/status/2109122992135610431?s=46 was immediately the first thing I thought of when he trotted the kicker out this time
  6. For me it's not even about "calling plays", it is coordinating the offense. This system sucks and is poorly coordinated, independent of the play calling on Saturday.
  7. This made my day better thanks Gerry
  8. This is the thing I just can't understand. The best NFL head coaches have called their own plays since the league began. Why do college fan bases think their head coach can't call plays? In fact, the best play callers in the NFL are head coaches (Shanahan, McVay, Reid, Johnson). This doesn't mean Sark is the best play caller now, but it certainly doesn't mean it can't be done.
  9. Bumping this post from last year.. I think we did much better on the personnel front this season, but still, at the end of the day this program is held back by Sark insisting on being both the OC and HC. Why does he do this? Look in the mirror dude. Look at the talent on this team. Look at the offensive output running your "system", year after year. It sucks, man. Hire a damn offensive coordinator! You aren't getting it done doing both jobs.
  10. Its wild that Sark actually thinks him being his own OC is in the best interest of the program. The dude is completely delusional. How many years of mediocre offense with elite talent until he realizes he can't do both of these jobs?
  11. This loss may do a lot of things, but it won't improve our mental health 😆 🤘🏼
  12. Ah yes, it's the "both sides" guy who thinks he made a strong point with a false equivalency. Now we see where our logic is flawed. Thank you
  13. Also if it’s what I’m anticipating, short quick throws and downhill runs, could yall try to ask coach Sark why they don’t stick to that successful strategy.
  14. Well this loss might actually end up being good for my mental health. I was getting WAY too invested and tripping out every Saturday.
  15. Can any of the mods break down Texas’s scoring drives this season, particularly the final couple against OSU, and compare it to what Texas has been doing in all the three and outs. It feels like night and day between the two. Kinda feels like just completely different schemes.
  16. Ok so then it's Muschamps fault we lost the game then since it's accountability for player & coach, since his players & his plays didn't stop ou from getting into field goal position?. Is what your saying right?
  17. Are ya'll not watching the game one person blocked the punt & the 2nd wall let him right through damn near like he had money on a block punt
  18. Ultimately yes. It's called accountability; for the player and the coach. Something that appears to be lacking on this team
  19. Like I said it's his fault a player didn't block the dude that ran right past him & blocked the punt?
  20. It's 3-2 against Venables, but the two losses are mind numbing.
  21. I just realized that Sark is now 3-3 in this game and 2-2 with Venables.
  22. All true. Our problems are much less pressing than all but about half a dozen teams. Special teams, penalties and Arch's mistakes are definitely frustrating. All of these can be fixed. Play calling is not a problem.
  23. They still lost at home. Way we played today , both would have blown us out .
  24. We just like to call a spade a spade vs put rose colored glasses on
  25. Ideally yes, it would have been huge. But if Spetic makes the FG you can trust the only good unit on the field (the defense) to make a stop which they did on the following drive. Offense was terrible on converting short yardage today and Spetic is very capable of making that kick. There’s an argument for either option
  26. Not to hate on CJ but outside one run he averaged 2.5 yards a carry and LSU doesn’t have a top 5 defense
