Hopes and wishes that’ll never prolly happen. Sark seems way too loyal to flood and maybe to a fault.

Nick Brooks - Florida

33 for UF was whipping anybody in front of him -
Nick Brooks should never play guard in my opinion. He is too tall to deal with the lateral speed of interior defenders coming up out of his stance. Brooks should solely be developed at tackle. Any thoughts on Brooks at guard?
-
I don’t think he even needed to break down tape to come to this conclusion.

Where is the toughness and nastiness of this O-line and who is the leader? I expected Campbell to be more of an enforcer on the line or at least a leader. I just have not seen that and maybe it happens in practice, but it clearly isn't transferring to game day. I remember watching Banks be that guy when he was on the 40. Yesterday reminded me of a Herb Hand lead o-line. Where is the leadership for this team?

I don’t know of a lot of multi millionaire 64 year olds looking for the CFB grind, and that’s before you try to figure out staff dynamics etc.

Pittman is a great OL architect. I’d be shocked if it ever happened, however.

Let’s go ladies! 🤘 -
Agree completely. The offensive line is very bad right now.

Tossing my hat in the ring for the free sub ... who was closer? Edit: I think Bobbers was closer for sure ...

Ha! Right on.

The next contested catch I see from Wingo will be the first one. - Today

You would think that with all the supposed built in advantages there, but if that’s the case, why have they only won one national championship in the last 55 seasons?
-
Sad to say but Sark’s program is trending in the wrong direction at the absolute worst time. Tech and A&M will be in top 10 and possibly A&M in top 5. Sark has done what A&M usually does start ranked high and under perform to the expectations and do it in an embarrassing way. In the NIL era there is no excuse for not having a competitive Texas team. Sark might go down as the coach that did nothing with those top ranked recruiting classes As he has said Championships are the standard and the standard is the standard at Texas.
-
Exactly. He’s trying to be the head coach, OC, QB coach, and culture cop all at once. When you do everything, you end up doing nothing great. He makes $10M+ a year, the job is to lead and delegate, not micromanage every detail. Great coaches empower their staff.

Absolutely!! The plays were there all day if Arch had time. Really pleased with Arch and our receivers. The line is beyond bad. -
Goes back to my theory he has too many irons in the fire. I know he makes $10 million+ a year, but at some point, you have to delegate all that.
-
Arch is making the progress we thought he would. The receivers were open a lot yesterday. The OL is and has been the root of our problems including goal line, red zone, and running the ball.
-
Wingo is not a good WR. He has no catch radius, runs terrible routes, and if he can’t use his natural athleticism or speed he doesn’t do much.
-
You’re not wrong about the QB play being underwhelming, but at some point you’ve got to look higher up the chain. Sark is the QB coach, he’s the one designing the offense, developing the room, and making the calls. If every position under his control keeps underperforming, maybe the issue isn’t the assistants. And it’s not just scheme, it’s execution and discipline, too. Sark’s teams consistently fail in both areas, and when you fail there, these are the results you get. You can swap out coordinators and position coaches all you want, but if the same issues keep showing up, that’s on the head coach.

I’m a combination of pissed and somber. Assistants will get popped but the head guy needs some reflection. Mack brought in Tomey. We need a Tomey type. Among other things. -
I saw this a couple of times. We should be able to coach this up. Livingstone getting injured early hurt.
