Hank any update on Jordan Coleman? I think him and Townsend back and healthy is the key to beating Florida and Ole Miss. With them 2 and all 3 RBs healthy I believe this offense can pound the ball and play some bully ball while keeping those offenses off of the field, if Sark is willing to win with that style.

Yeah, Arch missing the spring was a big time problem. He missed the spring last year as well and took 6.75 games to figure it out.

Coleman has gotten bullied a bit. Some of the throws his way seem a bit forced. He and Arch have had less time together than Wingo and Mosley too so that may have some impact too.

This has not been an issue with Sark. FANS might be looking ahead, but under Sark, red River has been a FOCUS every year.

To provide some context CJ Stroud and Bijan were both in the HS class of 2020 Chambliss was 2021 and has been in college for 6 years Even crazier than that is the fact that backup Texas WR Sterling Berkhalter was in the same HS class as Stroud and Bijan. Berkhalter did a year of prep school in the 2020 season, then did 2 years at North Carolina A&T, 2 years at Cincy, and 1 year at Wake Forest before coming to Texas. Berkhalter was able to play this year since he redshirted in 2021 than had a medical redshirt in 2023, but the medical redshirt wasn't actually approved as a redshirt year until the NCAA gave him a waiver upon entering the portal this past offseason. On the same note, Darius Snow was also class of 2020 out of HS but was at Michigan State all 6 years before transferring to Texas. Like Berkhalter, he was also able to play this year due to several redshirt seasons he got cleared through the NCAA. Just crazy to think Berkhalter and Snow are in their 7th year removed from graduating HS and are in their 6th or 7th year of college. wingo has been WR1 for sure. i think there is a convo to be had about coleman getting very little separation in man coverage. can arch do better at throwing him open? yes. but wingo/mosley/bishop all seem better at creating separation which is crazy to say

I think they save the money and go to the portal unless Sales wants in. Any WR at this point outside a flip is not worth going in on if you're trying to actually fill a need. If you want developmental depth that's one thing. But Easton obviously is not that.
