  1. Past hour
  2. I agree with this because the OL is still developing continuity. Shuffling around positions shortly before the season could hurt the progress.
  3. Who do you think will take first team reps Newman? Coleman?
  4. I added to the original post with some scenarios about what Texas could do as long as Goosby is out. With that said, I'm with @Gerry Hamilton — I want to keep Brandon Baker at left guard if at all possible.
  5. It’s great news that it’s nothing severe, but we do need him back as soon as possible. I hope he can be back for OSU because a loss there leaves very little margin of error the rest of the season. Perks of having the toughest schedule in the country.
  6. There was no contact based off of what I was told.
  7. Average recovery time is 4-8 weeks, but they can probably give him stuff to get him on the field if they have to. Or so I hear. A 326 lb left tackle putting weight on that is going to be painful and you don't want to do that if you can avoid it. If it's in a weight bearing part of the knee, he's not going to play.
  8. There is no structural damage, so the only limiting factor will be pain. There was no report of ligament or cartilage damage, so I would assume the hyperextension was minor and the only damage was the bruise. Let's hope he's a fast healer and the swelling and discomfort rapidly subside with rest and the best orthopedic treatment on the planet.
  9. Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Scott, Rambis, West, Wilkes and Thompson met with Kobe before game 7 of the 2010 Finals and told him nothing matters more than beating the Celtics.
  10. So was the injury a result of contact or was there no contact? How does a bone bruise actually occur?
  11. Did you miss any time? What was the timetable?
  12. Some might not be experts, but there are a lot of doctors on this board . Probably a good place to get info. Not my particular speciality, so I abstained from speculation . We do have a lot of advanced recovery therapies available these days . But hard to tell timeframe. Good news considering though. No ligament damage
  13. I think he'll be ready for Texas State. Bone bruises heal fast if you stay off them for a few days.
  14. I told you guys to not freak out 😬😬😂😂
  15. Yup. My HS o line coach wouldn't let anyone on the field without them, even if you were a backup or a freshman. They work
  16. Wrap him in bubble wrap until 9/12. Damn Texas St.
  17. Hope for the best but it would need to be pretty mild to be back that soon.
  18. Nobody knows yet. It’s possible he’s back for Ohio State, or it could lead into October. It’s mostly pain tolerance. Will probably have a better idea over the next several days.
  19. Now instead of drinking at work out of depression, I drink at work to celebrate!
  20. with all the "experts" on this thread, if they had just let everyone here examine him last night we would have figured all this out before this morning. Wasted talent I say.
  21. went thru pretty much every possible emotion before 11:00 am jesus christ
