  2. My thought exactly. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
  3. The mental gymnastics to justify continues
  4. Does a Federal Court ruling trump a district State Court order? If the SEC gets a temporary stay on these players or a quick ruling on the legality of their league rules, does LSU then have to stop practicing with these pro players and remove them from the roster? If so, do you think LSU is so stubborn and stupid that they will continue to buck the league on this? https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/49816309/sec-files-suit-vs-lsu-school-intent-play-pro-athletes
  5. This is incredibly stupid. I understand something like Hutson coming back for a 5th year since he’s returning to the same school. What makes no sense is why these players should be allowed to enter the transfer portal, which has been closed for MONTHS. I do not get it. Let him go back to Boise if he wants another year.
  6. Texas: 48 Texas State: 20 i think they find the end zone a couple of times through the air because of lack of communication/new defensive scheme for us.
  7. I thought these players had to return to the same team? This is so confusing . Unless they were already in the portal.
  8. From looking at the last couple years in the cotton bowl the help they need is on offense
  9. Oh he participated in the Browns rookie mini camp just like Cole Hutson? But Sooners told me Texas disgraced college football by taking Hutson back 😂
  10. One day before the season opener, Oklahoma might be in for a defensive line addition via the portal. An Oklahoma court passed a TRO for Fely to return earlier in August. Now it appears he is headed to Norman.
  11. Watched a lot of the Texas State games this week.--Defending against Beau Sparks will be kind of scary. The 3‑3‑5 might actually be the best look against Sparks because it lets you keep two safeties over him every snap without giving up run fits. Sparks only eats when he gets single‑high or extended plays, and the 3‑3‑5’s contain edges shut down the scramble stuff he thrives on. Plus Muschamp can still bring real pressure out of it - creepers, sims, overloads - all the chaos he loves, but with seven in coverage. A 4‑2‑5 gives Sparks cleaner vertical lanes. The 3‑3‑5 caps him and still hits the QB But all-in-all, still worried about Sparks hurting Texas on Saturday. Hope Muschamp has all this figured out.
  12. You can’t make this up. 😂
  13. if SwT wants to stack the box…. Give Arch leeway to change n go light em up. From the very 1rst play to the End of Game.
  14. Would love to see Texas play USC, Miami, or Colorado. Saying CU just because I've been to Boulder a bunch and love that stadium and campus
  15. All I want to see is less goofy penalties, Cam catching 7 to 10 passes, a few sacks by our defense, a strong running game, and no injuries.
  16. "We handled everything the right way and with integrity........." Weel, that is what I get for not following the Red Raider Saga more closely! I'm embarrassed. All I remembered was whining about TT being verbally abused, and being compliant with a less than transparent player regarding his addiction. (and his entourage). Thank you Mr. Campbell for setting me straight! Please accept my apology for any 'tacky' thoughts that I may have had.I
  17. Somewhat related in all this mess. The Speaker of the House said they will adjourn Sept 17 until after the election. Have cancelled all votes however until then . Evidently don't want to have to vote on certain things and leave it at that. Don't wanna get political. Unless that changes, no way PSA Act gets done . Even if Senate passes it. Doubt the Senate even takes it up again now considering that move.So more of the Courts merry-go-round for awhile longer. So will see what's next from the judges and Courts ha!
  18. This is Jackson's passing depth chart, according to Pro Football Focus. When he threw the ball beyond the line of scrimmage last season, he was more efficient outside the numbers than in the middle of the field. The Gus Malzahn/Chad Morris offense that GJ Kinne's offense is rooted in is similar to the Art Briles veer-and-shoot in that the middle of the field opening up is to support the running game. Malzahn and his disciples use the middle of the field in the passing game a lot more than the guys who are descendants of the veer-and-shoot. Regardless, if you're looking for the path of least resistance against Texas, you'll try to make Cryer make plays in space. Saturday is a tremendous opportunity for him to get off on the right foot and set the tone because it won't be the last time teams come after him.
