Texas' future offensive identity
Alex Butler replied to diegozanna20's topic in On Texas Football Forum
We’re going to run the ball. The physicality of the defense that Muschamp will breed offensive linemen with attitudes otherwise they’ll be getting their ass whipped all day in practice. It will be iron sharpening iron. Arch is going to have time to throw and be able to be opportunistic with his running rather than running for his life. I think as a result we’ll be a lot more explosive down the field -

We haven’t had an offensive identity at all during the Sark era so if I were betting I’d say year 6 will be much of the same. -
Hutson is the only one with substantial experience. Lots of factors that go into whether someone is maxed out. I’d say few college football players are maxed out. Bo Nix and Michael Penix may be as good examples as any to say there’s room to improve. Um T Sweat, Vernon Broughton as recent examples. Going back in time, there’s a reason there’s a Gaskamp award.

Is there any time to make changes? Right after the bowl game, the portal opens and you don't want to be coach searching unless you have people already lined up.
-
I don't think he's going to change much, that's my opinion. Seems like he shifted the blame for the season on PK and having to "manage" him or something and that was the result of offensive woes. At least that's how it has appeared and played out.

Texas' future offensive identity

Experience matters. Aaron Rogers is still killing it because there is nothing new to him. He might be the only quarterback that has the huevos to call out his teammates and they just take it, because he has that much cache. Arch will be so much better next year! -

Might be about time with the family, dude has like 500 kids with his wife lol. Maybe test himself, see if he translate to the NFL? Who really knows. -

Arch reminds me of a young John Elway. Let him use his overall skill set to make plays and score touchdowns. -
I thought the coaches were happy with Cruz's development.

God forbid they ever win a Directors Cup.

Texas vs. S. Dakota State...
Califashorn75 replied to Califashorn75's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Her one turnover today was a behind the back dribble in the paint, which she lost. But she hit some very timely shots. Gotta give credit to S.Dakota State for competing knowing they had less overall talent. Booker was off today and Coach benched her for the majority of the 4th quarter when she had a turnover due to a bad cross court pass. Brie came in and was too fast for the Jackrabbits. She scored layups at will. Coach praised her after the game. This team is full of dogs and you can tell they play as a team. Even when they aren't all in synch. -

Criminal and Aggie chumps don't matter. We need Arch to just kick butt. This be like Kobe from 2000-2010. Best player in the world every year during that time but they kept giving MVP to Duncan , Nash, Rose, or Nowitzki. "The best basketball player of the 2000-2010 decade is widely considered to be Kobe Bryant, due to his scoring dominance (including an 81-point game), clutch performances, multiple championships (especially after Shaq), MVP award, and influence." https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VRlVPoh1MNM -
Hutson, Stroh, Robertson aren’t going to magically get better. They are what they are and in Hutson’s case he’s been the same guy since his freshmen season. We have severe talent and mentality deficiency in our interior products, see Daniel Cruz as a shining example of the mentality deficiency. if you couldn’t push for starter reps or pass up guys this year at LG and C then that doesn’t say a lot of good things about your ability.

Bud Wilkinson Hall was the site of several felony crimes, including a shooting and a gang rape involving multiple players.

I feel bad for the kids that they are having to go through all of this. None of this is their fault.

Elko is de facto DC, but he downgraded at OC (and I was never impressed with Colin Klein). -
No one hates the criminals more than me. I'd put every player and fan in prison where they belong.
