  1. Past hour
  2. Come on C J , you know our fan base is not into optimism. Do wish the three better ones left were not on the road. To add to your post, the three best D C are behind us or most respected anyway.
  3. This is all fair. The offense is too talented and Sark is too good of a play designer for the lulls to last as long as they do and for the offense to be this boom or bust. 24 points, 382 total yards and 6.1 yards per play should’ve been enough to win the game. That’s not a bad showing against Oklahoma’s defense. But it’s not the production, it’s the fact this offense can’t bust a grape for about 2/3 of the game.
  4. More next season for me. But if we hit three losses I’d change.
  5. FWIW, Littleton intercepted Julian Sayin on the Hail Mary at the end of the Ohio State game. I know Texas needs to force turnovers, but it’s hard for me to put a lot of fault on the defense when the offense and special teams handed Oklahoma 14 points.
  6. Just realized Manning threw more scoring passes to OU players than Mateer yesterday.
  7. We certainly are “the Cheesiest”!
  8. Basically what Sark told me with that play choice is he didn't trust his oline against ou's defense to get the 2 yards. Of course that would have been better in hindsight than the missed field goal which gave ou another 7 yards free.
  9. I think Sark values big plays more than consistently moving the chains. OU was allowing 23.1% on third down, and with two weeks to prepare, we went 3-for-13. Cooper was running well inside but barely touched it in the second half. Arch’s last pick looked predetermined, with a receiver coming open underneath. Sometimes taking five yards is better than chasing twenty.
  10. The offense individually isn’t the issue. It’s the decision making, and discipline that’s killing this team. The offense doesn’t need a magic pill to be what they need to be, they need to find consistency in what works for them! Not what Sark thinks will work, but what works for that unit! The special teams on the other hand has a way to go, but honestly inconsistent offense leads to bad situational decisions for the special teams to make and play. If the offense had just plays three good quarters of football, it takes all the pressure off of the special teams to somehow give us a chance to stay in the game. A blocked punt and punt return don’t happen when your offense doesn’t put you in situations for it to happen. Sure punting and kicking haven’t been great, but pressure to be the reason you win games shouldn’t come down on their shoulders unless absolutely necessary.
  11. Whats worse is the amount of talent that the offense has is being thrown in the garbage. This should have been Sarks most talented offense since he stepped on the 40 and probably within the top 5 hes had as a coach or coordinator....thats flat out embarrassing. Time to start checking egos at the door and start really looking at what the problem is and what needs to be done to fix it. This is the kind of thing that really starts to affect recruiting, team chemistry and confidence...both players and coaches. Hard to trust in something when its been so monumentally bad.
  12. arch is great at home. need to win next 3. all at home to have a chance at playoff. then at mizzou at lsu atm. lose one of those. arkansas gimme in austin. iffin our kicker makes it at end arch would be awesome and great. special teams lost that game. monkey banks
  13. You are correct. The athletic director hears them too. Not saying anything happens, but Sark needs some smoke behind this.
  14. I so feel that. I had to laugh at that, otherwise it'd be crying. 🤣
  15. Sorry CJ, the way our offense is performing the opponent simply needs their defensive players to fog a mirror to be effective against us. Our offense can be counted on to throw in plenty of penalities, turnovers, miscues, drops, bone-headed mistakes, and overall dysfunction to assist the opponents’ defenses. And our (un)special teams will not be left out of the party and insist on its share of gaffes to aid the opponent. We fans have much to be concerned about.
  16. I know you have to be careful and circumspect in what you say. And I 100 percent agree with you on how Arch has carried himself. But if the lightbulb hasn't come on for him in his 4th year in the system and 20 starts history tells you it won't. Maybe he needs a different coach and a different system. It's not working at Texas. Looking at the schedule it's liable to look like he's found it, but I still have no faith once he faces a really good team and defense like Georgia or OSU again rust he will not revert. It really sucks.
  17. I'm not sure Arch is even 2008 Tebow good.
  18. ....having quite a day with the Packers. He has quickly become a fan favorite.
  19. With the exception of Arkansas all other games are concerning.
  20. Only a little worried bc we couldn’t do much against a mid UTSA defense, Texas has to stop beating Texas first
  21. I agree, but Jalen Hurts isn't Manning Inc. Can you imagine the blowback? It's just different, plus Sark is nowhere as ruthless and committed to winning as Saban. Few coaches are. They all work in a sliding scale of political calculation. Just my opinion. But I agree with the concept.
  22. We have not forced a turnover against a P4 team. Chances are this doesn’t stay this way, as the turnovers will start to happen but we need to start forcing TO’s in this big games.
