It seems like our OLine does a lot of catching instead of driving off the ball. They automatically get into a pass blocking set on run plays so it prevents them from getting any push. It's almost as if they are walling them off instead of trying to displace them. That's a technical problem. Our receivers, Coleman especially, are providing nothing in the run game. Great thread @Jeff Howe!

Hold the Mayo, Week 7: which line is the most wrong?

This is a good week to pick some underdogs covering or even flat out winning -
Have you sent this to Sark? 😆 Clearly, Sumrall wants Texas to keep Banks. Does anyone wonder why? Gators are licking their chops!

Woof, last weekend was rough, but at least we got to hate watch A&M lose to Missouri and former Longhorn CJ Baxter help lead Kentucky in their upset of LSU. 2 overtime wins with a 2-point conversion in 2 weeks?! Unreal. 82% of the Mayo board took Texas -9.5 in Dallas. We all know how that went. It wasn't just Texas. 82% also had Florida -14.5, and South Carolina won by 19. Another 82% had Tennessee -13.5, and the Vols won by just 7. Congrats to @McCoy2Shipley, who Holds the Mayo after going 5-2 in Week 6. Five of you also finished 5-2 (@Bunk Moreland, @BKBTX, @TravelingHorn, and @WRNC), but McCoy2Shipley's picks were in first. Week 7 is open. Seven SEC games against the spread, best record Holds the Mayo, ties go to whoever picked first: Florida at Texas (-10.5), 11:00 AM CT Mississippi State at LSU (-12.5), 11:00 AM CT Auburn at Georgia (-20.5), 2:30 PM CT Alabama (-8.5) at Tennessee, 2:30 PM CT Missouri at Ole Miss (-6.5), 2:30 PM CT Arkansas at Vanderbilt (-6.5), 6:00 PM CT Kentucky at Oklahoma (-6.5), 6:30 PM CT The pick for each game locks at its own kickoff, and you can change your picks any time between now and then without losing your place in line. That being said, which of these seven lines is the most wrong? Texas laying 10.5 a week after losing as a 9.5-point favorite seems sus, but I think with Florida's defensive issues they could reasonably cover. Personally I wouldn't be surprised to see Missouri upset Ole Miss and I'm not convinced LSU will cover 12.5, but I've got my 👀 on that Kentucky-OU matchup. OU favored by nearly a touchdown? Here's to hoping for a big bounce back win this weekend for the Horns. stance.fm/mayo Hook 'em! 🤘

Hope it is a breakout game. They need it.

If I’m coach Sark this Saturday I’m running at least 65-70 percent of my plays out of ten personnel. The recipe to beat Floridas defense is to spread them out. Just ask SC how they blew them out. I can only begin to imagine this is the breakout game for the offensive side of the ball. I also think Texas needs to find its footing tempo wise this game. They had it running pretty smooth in the last quarter against OSU and the first two against UTSA. Having the ability to play at your pace and will, will certainly give this offense the consistency and confidence it needs.

I don't believe that. I don't believe he even had to pay them. He just opened up his arms and said, "How can I help you?" and they came to Missouri. You don't have to recruit, Gerry, when you can be your authentic self and show people you care about them. That's what he said and I 100% believe that. I remember talking to a guy about rizzing and I told him I don't play games, and he said, "That's the oldest game there is."

2026 Women’s Indoor Volleyball Thread

Much like Colin Simmons being credited with an extra half sack against Tennessee, Ramsay Gary has been credited with an extra dig against Arkansas. That ties her for the match record for digs at 34, the highest dig total for a 4 set match, and the highest regardless in the rally era. "It’s the highest single‑match total in program history, tied with Sandra Reboucas’ 34 digs vs. Baylor in 1999. Gary became the first Texas libero to reach 30+ digs since 1999, a span of 800 matches." -
Feisty. Thanks for the heads up. I doubt I would have listened to the Missouri SEC media day otherwise. Not in a bad way, either. Dude said his piece without rancor. Basically said as long as he's punching above the NIL weight of his program, which he indicated doesn't even compare to his SEC cohorts, he's doing a good job. That Mark Mitchell eligibility case is as important as any of these in determining a program's ceiling. With him back they're a different monster entirely. They can be good without him, but they're young and not as physical on defense as they need to be. He's the true post presence that they won't really have otherwise.
