While the OL didn’t have a good day, special teams was the reason that game was even close. If anyone deserves to be bitched about, it’s Banks’ unit. This is about as dumb and pointless as arguing about the shade of orange we wear being off and the goalpost not being centered correctly.

Thanks for the response Jeff! I was thinking about how efficient the offense was when they made the defense pay for not covering our explosive guys well enough. Sometimes I think Sark needs to realize how talented his team actually is and simple slants and meshes and non long developing plays that ruin momentum makes this team look unstoppable. It’s what they did to OSU in the 4th. This team is really capable of winning it all.

I get what you're saying. Guess I'm just not wired to think that way. The only thing Texas has shown me so far is that we got maybe the best defense in college football, we're clutch when we need to and that we're way too inconsistent on offense. Call it optimism but I've seen nothing from this Texas team that actually worries me in a "this can't be fixed this year" way. Last year I thought that way. Last year I thought that we had a bad OL and no running game and a subpar receiving core (And Arch was still up and down but he did get a lot better from game 1 to 13) and the issues on the defense from a DC POV were pretty obvious. Don't see that this year. Could it happen that we never put it together? Yes, I'll be sad and frustrated when that happens. I've seen nothing that can't be fixed though, and that makes me a lot more optimistic and less miserable than some other people, I guess.

It's actually a positive for any team that is really talented. If I had said Guy V. Lewis ... that would be bad!

Lance Jackson has been a dude since day one too. I might be wrong, but I think his position versatility is going to make NFL teams salivate in a couple of years.

Best game as a Longhorn

I'll say this. I'd rather be 4-0 (1-0 in the SEC) and not peaking in September than peaking in September then fading in October and November and out of contention for anything meaningful in December and/or January.

Your questions just add to the frustration. Nobody got up today and thought Texas played bad on purpose. It is completely asinine to think that way. The frustration grows because there are no magical changes. Texas has to play OU, go to LSU and host Florida and Ole Miss. The last two teams look much better than Texas offensively. Texas can’t win a national championship as they currently look. That was the goal for this team.

So true! .My only gripe is probably not have Wingo out there. I like him , he had a good game. Just feel there are better hands in that situation. But that illegal kick was wicked for sure.

I will take winning ugly with our defense until our offense can catch up. Seeing flashes of good just need to keep getting better which I think we will.
