  5. Well looks like there could be some fireworks on friday if those NFL players show up on LSU roster
  6. Over the course of the summer, I worked with ChatGPT to create a ranking engine based on four core principles. 1. Reume - Overall body of work in the context of schedule difficulty; Who did you play, and what did you accomplish against them? 2. Quality Wins - The valie of a team's strongest victories; How strong are the teams you defeated? 3. Dominance - How convincingly a team performs relative to opponent quality; How well did you perform, not simply how much did you win by? 4. Consistency - The stability and repatability of performance; Does the team consistently perform at a high level? Now this isn't meant to predict future performance, it's meant to judge all teams equally against how they actually played. I try to minimize subjective influence, such as, preseason polls, recruiting rankings, brand recognition, historical prestige, media expectations, or perceived talent. Here are the Top 25's from the past 5 seasons. Yes, I am a nerd.

  7. Beyond comical ethan went undrafted, no combine invite, But STILL made a 53 man roster.
  8. At what point does the NFL legalize drafting high school graduates to practice squads and put college football out of its misery?
  9. Buechele to Bills PS. Majors to Eagles PS.
  10. Many don't follow basketball here, but there was a very interesting development this morning. Former Missouri PF Mark Mitchell Jr. had committed to Kentucky a few days ago. This morning, Jeff Goodman broke the news that Mitchell has enrolled at Missouri. The reason for this is it's his easiest potential path to playing another year of college basketball. 1. Mitchell did not enter April portal. He was clearly planning to be done with college basketball. He went undrafted, but signed a form of an Exhibit 10 contract and played for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA summer league. 2. Mitchell was not eligible to play at Kentucky per the intraconference transfer rules. 3. While Mitchell is returning to Missouri, he's still not a lock to play next season. The NCAA has been winning in the courts of late with multiple "stay"'s. Agents and players should proceed with caution IMO. And the SEC is also very serious about the fines and suspensions for programs and coaches.

  11. Today
  12. It’s worth noting how many seniors / 5th year guys are starting for aggy, particularly on the defense. I’ve been saying for a while that aggy’s greatest risk is there lack of depth. There just isn’t much talent / future difference makers on the depth chart after the front line starters for 2026 (Marco Jones, Aaron Gregory may be exceptions). I’m assuming Craver goes to the NFL after this season. This helps to explain why aggy went full Jimbo-NIL mode in this recruiting class to replenish the dearth of young talent in their pipeline.

  14. Haha. This was 100% caused by SEC and how much the NCAA is winning "stay"s in court. Mitchell's agent took potential path of least resistance And he's still not a lock to be eligible this season.
  15. Now this was funny lol
  16. Supposedly, on interview earlier with Portnoy was an LSU alum who stated the women’s Soccer team already had an ex professional player start and play a game for them. Don’t know who it is. He also said Men’s and Women’s bball are going after them rt now. The alum said the university and coaches are going for it while they can.
  17. Now this is funny.
  18. Yes - that is commissioners work
  19. No different than the last couple years
  20. You don’t get it man he can squat 500 lbs and throw a jump pass like Spencer Rattler!
  21. They think it's their best at all 3 positions. They think they have a top 2 Secondary in the SEC this season. In the board I'm a member on they think every coach is the next great one till he isn't (this year it's Whitten and their RB coach from Notre Dame). They were hyped on Deion Burkes until Sategna was their main guy last year. I think Sategna could fall back down to earth, and either Livingstone, Trell Harris, or the youngster Elijah Thomas will lead the room. Elijah Thomas is the one imo to look out for, if they give him playing time.
  22. Ross Dellenger is reporting that discussions at the SEC regarding penalties for lsu are “not league driven but membership lead.” Sounds like Sankey is pulling another Sankey. Nice leadership. https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/breaking-news/article/sec-school-leaders-exploring-extreme-steps-over-lsus-plan-to-sign-former-pro-athletes-including-potential-expulsion-competition-boycott-and-federal-lawsuit-174813936.html
