  1. Past hour
  2. When was Briles’ last extension in Waco, and did it coincide with him “turning down” the Texas job.
  3. Can't say "Saban or Briles" in the same sentence. Really can't say "Saban or anyone else" in the same sentence. Frankly, the best coaching job in the B12 for a run of several years was by the 40 year old man [I'm a man] with the mullet. The most successful coach was the chinless one at our rival. There were a dozen better choices than Charlie apparent to the naked eye. None of them were Saban, who wasn't coming. None of them were Bob Stoops. None of them were the mullet. All of them would have likely been more successful than Charlie; maybe even very successful. Patterson was the wrong choice as AD. Leave it at that.
  4. Thank you to all of you in the OTF community for helping us build a monster. Thanks for being a part of the ride! 2026 is going to be big! Can't wait!
  5. Obviously in retrospect we are glad this didn’t happen. In an alternative world how different would the last 13 years have been with Saban or Briles taking over for Mack?
  6. RG3 also said Mack told him at the end of a game to transfer to Texas. Imagine what could’ve been.
  7. @Blake Munroe maybe a Joe Z ❤️’s Gerry t-shirt?
  8. And thank god for that hubris. Don't think that would have played out well... 🤘
  9. The partnership with LHN is deafening to competitors and an absolute stamp of approval for the professionalism of the staff. HOOK EM
  10. A YouTube channel like On Texas Football with roughly 300,000 subscribers has an estimated monthly ad revenue potential of $1,000 to $4,500, but total income scaling via brand deals, sponsorships (such as regular integrations with PrizePicks and tech sponsors), and external community platforms can push total monthly revenue to $10,000–$30,000+ during peak college football seasons. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Estimated Ad Revenue (AdSense) View Dependence: YouTube pays based on views and ad engagement rather than subscriber count alone. [1] Sports Niche RPM: College and American football content typically yields an RPM (Revenue Per Mille) of $3 to $10 per 1,000 views, depending heavily on U.S. audience demographics and seasonal spikes. [1, 2] Monthly Projections: Based on standard view metrics for a 300k-tier active sports commentary channel, baseline AdSense generally estimates out to roughly $500 to $2,000 per month during the slower summer periods, scaling higher during game-week surges. Sponsorships & Brand Integrations In-Video Sponsors: The channel frequently runs active promotional integrations (e.g., fantasy/sports gaming and AI sponsors) directly into their live streams and video breakdowns. [1] Earning Potential: Dedicated commercial partners and live-stream read sponsors for a targeted, high-intent college sports audience can command anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000+ per month, often eclipsing raw YouTube ad revenue entirely. [1, 2] Additional Monetization Avenues Super Chats & Memberships: Live Q&A streams enable direct fan support via Super Chats and channel memberships. Ecosystem Expansion: Operating alongside a broader independent multi-media website and paid community tiers allows creators to convert YouTube viewers into recurring subscription revenue off-platform. 11. Patterson was a stickler for the rules, and his rule was everyone interviewed. Briles thought it was beneath him to do that, and Patterson told him thanks for taking my call. We got punished with Charlie, but after the Briles behind-the-scenes stuff broke wide open, we all realized we were blessed that his circus didn't end up in Austin. That is one thing we can thank Patterson for.
  12. Today
  13. The “coach” was doing his thing up in Waco…. impressive run and his offense was putting up points all the time like Leach up in Lubbock. But the “guy” running the program the wrong way showed all we needed to know to be glad he didn’t end up here. Can’t forget how much chaos ensued up there under his watch.
  14. As i recall there was a rumor he was asked to interview but declined to without the job offer?
  15. Curious what the mods have to say about this. Heard the rumors but never straight from Briles
  16. Congratulations OTF ! 🤘🏻
  17. 17 days until kickoff, so today’s countdown looks at some of the best Longhorns to ever wear No. 17. This one ended up being a pretty fun group because it stretches across several different eras of Texas football. Tre Thomas was a major piece of those Texas defenses in the 1990s and one of the more productive defensive backs of his era. Cameron Dicker is probably the most recognizable recent No. 17. “Dicker the Kicker” gave Texas one of the most memorable Red River moments of the last decade with the game-winner against Oklahoma in 2018, and he finished his career as the school’s all-time leading scorer among kickers. John Hagy was another standout defensive back from the 1980s, while Willie Mack Garza was a four-year starter and one of the better defensive backs Texas had around the turn of the decade from the 80s into the 90s. And Adrian Phillips rounds out the group after a productive career in Austin before going on to have a long NFL career. Current No. 17s are Xavier Filsaime and Daylan McCutcheon.

  19. They had a place on SPI in the 80's and would go shopping at Sun Valley Mall in Harlingen. Chaos ensued with everyone trying to get autographs.
