  1. Past hour
  2. We have the best lefty in the game, she just happens to throw right handed.
  3. I hope Lubbock PD has an Organized crime unit. If they thought they didn’t need one before they certainly will need one now. Texas Tech as an institution has invited the biggest crime syndicates on campus and into all their student athletes lives with their actions on this. From the UPs mouth to their AD to their coach and now their players. If you don’t think the Mob, mafia and every major crime syndicate isn’t looking at Texas tech athletes as sitting ducks to pay to throw games and make them money you aren’t using your head. it will happen. Already has in college basketball. Wouldnt be surprised if Texas authorities aren’t already monitoring Sorsby and Tech athletes already.
  4. Has anyone checked on @Bobby Burton? He looked like he was going to explode this morning.
  5. A sad day for Sports and specifically Team Sports. In a legal manner (which is where this ended) this is an "eligibility" issue and there has been many cases contesting "eligibility"; such as, Red Shirt, Waivers, Transfers through The Portal, Grades and even conflicts with law enforcement, etc. With this news today, why not bring Patrick Mahommes back?. He has won NFL MVPs and Super Bowls., so what is left there for him? TTU and Campbell can find a judge and hey, the next thing you know Mahommes is suiting up and playing in Lubbock. I mean, why not? That would be an "eligibility" issue which The NCAA does not have a winning record in cases let alone enforcement. There are no longer any lines in College Football. None. A sad day!!!
  6. Need to add a lefty starter pitcher.
  7. Idk if it’s real but Eric Henry says Texas is a major player for Isa Torres. We’ll see what happens but if Texas pulls Torres off the market and lands Swan they may get a perfect season next year.
  8. Torres is definitely not at a positon of need but it would be more of a “best player available” situation. Swan would be much more of a positional fit on the roster, to lead a position group of younger catchers in Wallace, South, and Clemmer. Stewart can catch too if needed but I think the staff likes her more at first.
  9. Yeah, Loewy is a piece of work, that's for sure. Not the good kind either.
  10. The only way that schools will be able to protect college athletics is to form a new league that excludes Texas Tech this fall. The entire college sports landscape ends if the 2026-2027 season includes players known to have bet on their own teams. It will essentially become pro wrestling. Sure there will be some fans, but outcomes will not be competitive. And OTF needs a new sponsor if their attorney is defending the killing of college sports.
  11. Yawn. Tech is for losers.
  12. If this holds up it's the final death nail in college sports. Way to go Tech! You did it!
  13. Yao Ming or Ralph Sampson. The very tall players over 7'2 never hold up long term. Wemby has a 5 or 6 year window until injuries take its toll according to NBA history .
  14. Which is so stupid at this point
  15. More Texas Tech diabolicism
  16. Can Sorsby actually prove his innocence, though?? 🤔
  17. So we should be able to throw around as much nil as we want, but Texas won't do that because its Texas. They go by the book 🙄
  18. Exactly right! The sad thing is Tech had the chance to truly set themselves as a leader and example. If they kicked him off the team, accept the NCAA ruling, support him in his recovery, go play, and win with the talent they do have their they shining example of how to handle a situation they inherited. Plus Codeman looks like the moral voice of boosters. Instead, this.
  19. Understandable argument. I’d rather continue to do the right thing and okay by the rules as they’re written. We’re winning with integrity and within the rules. Ultimately, that will prevail over this dotcom like bubble that is using legal tactics to for short term success. I’ll play the long game on this one.
  20. It may be a Pyrrhic victory. When the SEC and Big 10 eventually break away from the ncaa and form super leagues, there won’t be too many additional spots available. Tech might be inadvertently sealing their own fate with this crap. Does anyone actually think that Texas (or A&M for that matter) is gonna go to bat for the cockroaches to join their league?
  21. Yeah, okay Josh Pate. I don’t remember you holding Joey’s feet to the fire when you interviewed him last week, but I do remember you giving him a huge platform to trash Texas. So spare us the dramatics.
  22. The problem is that once we start doing it, we will get punished for it.
  23. He losing his hair(what's left of) fast. Besides, If even Josh Pate - the most neutral, non‑confrontational guy in college football media - won’t defend Tech, you know it’s bad. When he basically shrugs and says ‘yeah, that’s on y’all,’ the conversation is over
