  2. With social media now, it's best to do what Sark does. Gives us a taste but not the whole meal.
  3. I know he’s not a Longhorn anymore, but DMO continues to carry himself in a great way while speaking highly of Texas QBs and figured I’d share
  4. The most mind blowing thing about Texas basketball for me is their 9-3 all time record vs UNC. For some reason, Texas has had their number against one of the best college basketball programs of all time. It’s similar to Texas’ all time record vs Alabama in football. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/texas/men/head-to-head.html
  5. Sounds like Bryson Warren is waiting to see if signing an exhibit 10 counts as an NBA contract?
  6. Wade said he wasn't worried during an interview in June. Wonder if he's worried yet?
  7. Today
  8. Some coaches like the fully open practices because it prevents those who cover the program from having to go to sourcing inside the program to get details of what is going on. The game of telephone can be a dangerous one and stuff can get lost in translation. Others hate it because they think it could give another school an advantage to know everything going on in practice. I see both sides of the argument.
  9. You mean the 25 year old professionals they're hoping to pass off as freshmen?
  10. I flew down to Austin from Chicago to watch Vince's first practice. I hadn't been in my new job very long and my boss gave me all kinds of crap about it. Worth it.
  11. Yesterday
  12. yet, Ryan Day is doing it this week. Attending those practices up at Intramural Fields are some of my best memories of Texas Football.
  13. I take the bowl game with a grain of salt they didn’t play for almost a month half bunch of rust to knock off
  14. Different time too many cameras and social media personalities. Entire practices could be posted on Twitter before the players finish showering
  15. Seems to be a good thread for this quote: “Life is short. Be sure and spend as much time as possible on the Internet arguing with strangers”-Anonymous
  16. We scored 41 points. The most Michigan gave up all season. Here is some PFF data. Arch was pressured on 19% of dropbacks, only 3 of 8 were attributed to pass protection. Goosby, Robertson, Shannon. So I guess we saw all of them in that video. After watching the film Guy, I kinda thought “is that all you got?” On the season there were 169 qualifying QBs included. Only 10 were pressured less than 25%. Only one, Carson Beck, at less than 20%. So that Michigan game was a pretty low pressure rate. It was our highest P4 pass blocking game of the season except maybe Arkansas. This is the Film Guy’s, 3rd review at least, about Arch. He sucks. Well maybe it’s his foot. It’s the Oline. This one for sure falls short in relation to what should be expected, what actually happens, what’s typical for any game. All games against good, relatively evenly matched competition will have these type plays. And the misfire on the throw, there is something to the pressure. I think that is massively lost in the OSU game. Some of these mechanical issues are because the QBs view is distorted so they become off platform or the timing is changed because the window isn’t clean. Even the end zone view doesn’t always tell that part of the story.
  17. Brooks has some decent points, but one thing I could never stop thinking about last year was how it took until the 9th game of the season (Vandy) for the starting lineup to consist of the most experienced bunch (Goosby, Hutson, Robertson, Campbell, Baker). How did that happen
  18. If I recall correctly that policy ended when Jordan Shipley injured his knee in practice and fans posted it before Mack could inform his parents first. Mack was pissed at fans.
  19. Cole has played in 48 games for Texas , he can play multiple positions on the O Line. Also very few O-line coaches are able to say they have put as many players in the NFL playing on Offensive line as Flood has in his career.
  20. As long as there isn't anything revealed schematically, I think it'd be kinda cool to open a practice or two up to fans. Just have them run routes on air or do one on ones or even 7on7. You could sell a lot of tickets and keep it to an hour then when the fans leave actually practice plays and installs, etc.
  21. Thank you HC Mitch Johnson for visiting our team today.
