Alcohol probably is worse for you yes, but pot is horrible for your lungs. And for the edible crowd out there, it’s horrible for brain development in young adults. The incredibly high THC count nowadays isn’t being researched enough for the effects it has on the brain. In 20 years we are going to see just how bad it is. Acting like marijuana is some miracle substance with no side effects is just as bad as thinking alcohol is fine.

Let me guess….you drink alcohol like a fish, yet if an individual smokes marijuana it’s the worst thing in the world? I have 27 years in the medical field and I can tell you that alcohol is much more dangerous to the body than marijuana, it just so happens that the lobbyist got alcohol legalized.

I have noticed this year that one of the sponsors of the podcast is a company that specializes in cannabis products. Coincidently there seems to be a LOT of weed being smoked at DKR on game day. I noticed it during the REK concert and it increased during the Sugar Ray show last Saturday...even to the point where lead singer Mark McBath even said something, and he is from California. During the game, it was drifting over in Section 27. I realize it is Austin but have never smelled it at the tailgates and game Oh well, great marketing by the OFT staff. Stay High My Friends! LOL

BYU would be a fantastic draw in the Quarterfinals for Texas if they can survive this schedule and possibly the SEC Championship Game.

This kid was down to Clemson and OU and chose OU. A big reason was the kid and his family used to live in Clemson and he went to the same church as Venables and his family which had kids around the same age as Schell. The Schell's and Venables are family friends and Venables had a pretty unique relationship with Schell. It's also worth mentioning that regardless of what your opinion is on him or the way he's managed the OU program, Venables is still one of the best in CFB when it comes to LBs and defense. I do think his decision is pretty telling of the future of Clemson considering Schell and his family lived in Clemson and are/were big Clemson fans but decided to go to OU and not Clemson. Actually really like this kid and think he's a good player. I was introduced to him during his freshman year when he was at Under Armour Atlanta and only had two offers from Akron and Miami of Ohio at the time. Not a five-star level guy but a really good all around prospect. Texas offered him this spring and hosted him for a spring practice visit but it was always gonna be hard to beat out Clemson or OU with the connections Schell and his family had to both places

OU has shown over the last few years they are willing to rush players back too early and their strength and conditioning program is probably below par. I think Venables is probably still traumatized by losing all his wideouts in fall camp a few years ago. I know Georgia is now seen as a must win for them, but their season is on the verge of imploding if they have a few more big injuries.

One thing to keep an eye on - as we move forward, will we hit some opponents in playoff elimination games? So, if OU loses to Georgia this week, Red River turns into an elimination game. LSU/Slurp will generate a second loss for someone...do we hit that team when it is staving off elimination?

The SEC is going full throttle this season on overtaking the Big Ten as college football's most competitive league. With 10 teams situated inside the Week 4 AP Top 25 rankings, the SEC flexes a wealth of early-season title contenders this fall, with many on display in this Saturday's unprecedented showcase -- four games pitting ranked teams, the most ever by a single conference in one week. We've ranked the SEC's four games involving teams in the AP Top 25 based on watchability and other factors. 1. No. 1 Texas at No. 14 Tennessee Why it's important: Winning on the road in the SEC is a treacherous undertaking, and the noise levels will be deafening inside Neyland Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Longhorns may have the better roster, but the Vols are a tough out under Josh Heupel when they've got 105,000-plus behind them. Tennessee freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon could leap Arch Manning in Heisman odds after Week 4 if he posts a monster performance during a Tennessee victory. Early feel: Peyton Manning said he'll wear orange this weekend, but it'll be the burnt hue and not the color of his alma mater. It comes as no surprise that he'll be supporting his nephew, who will need a turnover-free outing to pull this one out. A win this weekend for the Longhorns would all but lock in a CFP appearance unless the wheels come off later. 2. No. 4 Ole Miss at No. 21 Florida Why it's important: How often is the home team favored in a matchup of unbeaten teams when the road team is ranked inside the top 5? Florida coach Jon Sumrall had a funny reaction when asked about the opening line and said oddsmakers must be on drugs following the Rebels' thrilling win over LSU. To the Gators' credit, however, Sumrall's squad is ahead of schedule in his first season and looks the part offensively with quarterback Aaron Philo and coordinator Buster Faulkner turning heads thus far. Early feel: Pete Golding is 5-1 with four wins over ranked opponents to begin his head-coaching tenure at Ole Miss, dating back to last season, but this is his first true road game in the SEC. That's partly why the Gators are favored, along with the fact that the status of Ole Miss star running back Kewan Lacy is uncertain, while Florida running back Jadan Baugh ranks second nationally with 458 yards on the ground and eight touchdowns through three games. 3. No. 23 Texas A&M at No. 10 LSU Why it's important: This could be a CFP elimination game of sorts for the loser after the Aggies and Tigers each took one on the chin over the weekend to start the SEC slate. Texas A&M got roughed up by Kentucky at the line of scrimmage, while the Tigers erased a 17-point deficit at Ole Miss, only to watch Trinidad Chambliss run through the heart of their defense late in the fourth quarter. A loss for Texas A&M pushes Mike Elko's squad out of the national rankings entering Week 5 with no clear re-entry point moving forward. Early feel: Unless Marcel Reed returns to the quarterback he was early last season after helping Texas A&M win late at Notre Dame, this one could be one-sided in Baton Rouge. The line opened at 9.5 points, which speaks to the experts' confidence in Lane Kiffin's ability to recover quickly. 4. No. 19 Missouri at No. 24 Mississippi State Why it's important: Buy stock in Kamario Taylor while you still can. Mississippi State's standout quarterback is one of only two signal callers this season with a pair of true road wins over Power Four competition thus far, and now gets to come back home to Starkville as the Bulldogs try to take out the first of five straight nationally-ranked opponents they'll face in SEC play. Despite a slow start and an early 10-point hole against Troy last week, Missouri rebounded behind another 100-yard game out of Jamal Roberts in the backfield. Early feel: Jeff Lebby's been waiting for this opportunity as a top-25 team at Mississippi State. Prior to last week's win at South Carolina, the Bulldogs were just 1-15 against SEC opponents under his watch. The Tigers desperately miss Ahmad Hardy, one of the nation's top ballcarriers, who is still recovering from a gunshot injury this offseason. Roberts has shouldered the load in his absence, but outscoring the Bulldogs and Taylor this weekend might be too much to ask on the road.
