  1. Past hour
  2. I don’t remember much from last fall’s discussion. Lots of variables but Stroh had the fewest pressures allowed of the front 5 versus Ohio State - Baker 5 plus 2 penalties. Goosby, Campbell, Hutson with 2 each. Throw in a penalty, a huge one at that for Campbell. Stroh 1. In that game, the big errors came from places other than LG. Here is what I don’t know and either people with the power can’t or won’t ask. What happened to Neto? Why Brooks? These guys movements are tracked. We don’t know those outcomes but presumably any outliers in a negative sense would likely exclude some guys. Brooks was the outlier. There’s data to show that. Evaluation shows that. That’s the move that should be questioned first and foremost. That’s the name that should be discussed first. If it’s not, then someone is missing the boat. Personally at this time last year, I felt very good about Campbell, Hutson, and Goosby. Then I was reasonably confident in Baker. LG I thought would be fine. In part because the other 4 parts would be average to maybe well above average. Start with the top guys then work your way down. And quit giving Sark a play calling pass. In the first 5 games, he had two dramatic outliers. A third was out of his norm. So with a new QB, a new OLine, banged up RBs and WRs, and some new blood as pass catchers, he did them no favors getting up to speed and building confidence.
  3. Amazing!!! Let’s get that natty in year 2 with STEEP curve exponential growth 📈 for OTF! Really appreciate you and all your contributions @Marcus Myers!
  4. i apologize if i missed a discussion on this, but i just saw that ewers went 1-8 with a pick and a sack in the fins’ first preseason game. woof. i was hoping that he’d make a move this year…i just thought it would be in a different direction.

  7. Today
  8. I mentioned it this morning on Coffee & Football and missed the opportunity to really land it. As we're 12 days away from the first game of the season, today marks 12 months to the day from when @Bobby Burton announced I'd be joining the OTF team as a regular contributor. Thank you for the opportunity Bobby. It's truly been a pleasure and it's been great getting to know you and everyone on the squad better. One of my best friends, Natasha Hastings, is actually the one who reminded me when she texted me last week saying "so how's it feel to be heading into year 2?" At first, I was a little confused and then it dawned on me what she was referencing. Tash is a 2x Olympic Gold medalist on the American 4x400m relay in track, holds multiple World Championship Gold medals, used to train in Austin for years and is a South Carolina Gamecock to the core. The fact that she's become a regular OTF viewer (and essentially an honorary Longhorn) is pretty wild to me, yet it speaks to what's been built here. It's hard to believe it's really been a full year already and I can't thank everyone that comments in the chats and message board threads (even you @Joe Zura 😆) enough. Yall make the OTF engine go. I've continued to learn plenty from the pros @Gerry Hamilton @Rod Babers @CJ Vogel @Jeff Howe @Hank South @Jordan Scruggs @Bob Shipley @Blake Munroe @Matthew Hutcheson, am thankful and glad I get to continue to work alongside each of you. There's not a better group in the business. Made it to my sophomore year! Let's go! (just not sure if I can handle any more Watch With Us livestreams tho 🤣)
  9. This years are pretty sweet I’m happy with them first pair of Nikes I’ve bought in years
  10. Absolutely! As I’ve posted before, he better have a stellar NFL career. This is not how he wants to be remembered.
  11. Burke's best ball is all in front of him.
  12. I think those Air Max were last years. I have those and the year prior. I do like those Vomero.. buying them now

  14. Has anyone seen if Texas will be releasing a new pair of Nike Air Max this year? I know the last few years they released right before the first game, but I haven't seen anything so far this year.
  15. Going to be fun Monday mornings
  16. Burke has 100% slimmed down and kept his strength. What a force!
  17. I hope this is a regular feature!
  18. ...if you all could do a weekly feature on how our former players did each weekend. Thanks.
  19. I wish we could get an update on Lovisa's progress. She's our tallest player and redshirted last year.
  20. I'm willing to bet Jr reached out to Sr. and told him to delete the post because he's still on the roster. Very immature for a grown man to crash out on social media about a team his son is still actively playing for. If he does end up transferring, he's going to have a clause in his contract with language for pops.
  21. It's not just this. Last offseason, we read the same glowing reports. When Connor Stroh emerged as leading candidate to start at LG, I don't remember reading a single reporting pointing to this as a potential problem. I just don't understand how anyone can watch him practice and feel like he would be a capable pass pro option. That's just one example, and it's not just Stroh, but the entire OL unit. When I read nothing but positivity, both on offense and defense, where no one struggles or even inconsistent, I tend to wonder how valid it is. That's just not possible at any level of competition. Also, mere mention of areas to work on doesn't mean you're shxtting on the team or giving up on the season, it's just that, things to work on. As diehards, I would think we'd be open to knowing things like that.
