  1. Past hour
  2. Im not saying hes having a bad season. I just thought he was going to be the masher. Hitting dingers every game. Hes been pretty legit behind the plate.
  3. Gerry and Hank talked to Laurence Seymore, his expectations for 2026, why he chose Texas, and more. View full news story

  5. Although duke gets all the talent I am grateful winning with a lot of freshman is hard.
  6. As I said several days ago every season that Duke has injury problems prior to the tournament they lose early. Losing your starting point guard and starting center is tough to overcome. Both guys came back but were clearly not 100%. Still, blowing a 15 point half-time lead? # 1 seeds leading by 15 or more at the half were 134-0 prior to today ... Great comeback by UConn, tip of the cap to them. I'm now pulling for Arizona (lol) since Koa Peat is a local high school kid, but expecting three exciting games in the FF. Anybody else ready for the Masters and then NCAA football?
  7. I guess that paid them back for the Christian Laettner shot from years ago. Man what an ending. I still like Michigan to win it all.
  8. On paper yes but UConn has so much luck on their side.
  9. Beating Michigan or Arizona would be an almost unbelievable amount of luck.
  10. Meat Chicken is the best team left
  11. My take after the first couple weeks with Tinney batting clean-up was that (at the time) Texas didn’t have anyone in the lineup batting behind him to force pitchers to challenge him. I think that was one of the main factors to batting him second. Ultimately everyone slumps in baseball. The regular season doesn’t really matter so much, what these guys do in the post season is what will ultimately be remembered or solidified one way or the other.
  12. Jon Scheyer to the Chicago Bulls if Billy Donovan takes the UNC job?
  13. what did I just watch 🤯 absolute chaos
  14. What a great second half between UConn and Duke!
  15. Pencil in the UConn men to win the natty imo. Illinois is a good team, but an unwritten rule is if UConn MBB makes it to the Final Four, they will win the natty. Luckiest program in college basketball history.
  16. Meh freshman mistake at the worst possible time it happens 🤷🏿
  17. No one will ever forget that ending
  18. Today
  19. I don’t see that happening either, but if it’s possible and the trade is Hidalgo and Preston leaves, if you’re Texas you make that trade. Preston is good, but Hidalgo is elite.
  20. Interesting that he spends so much time appealing to patriotism, the constitution, the importance of college athletics as a fundamentally American institution and then proceeds to describe college sports as a public good that should be effectively owned by the state. And his solution is collectivized pooling of media rights. I’m not commenting on the legitimacy of his proposed solution (which is stupid), but the hypocrisy is just stunning. College sports is a business that generates billions of dollars in revenues. To suggest that it is a public good is one of the most bizarre things I think I’ve ever seen someone posit on X, and that is saying something.
  21. “Universities claim they have to follow the money out of self-preservation but their decisions are creating a financial monopoly” *proceeds to follow the money to buy all the best recruits, thereby creating at Tech something approaching a financial monopoly*
  22. “College athletics are a public trust” “college sports has never been a private fiefdom” *proceeds to pump millions of private dollars into his own little fiefdom*
  23. “A flagrant power grab by the most powerful names and entities in college sports” does this dude have any self-awareness whatsoever, or is he really just that brazenly cynical?
  24. Lotta chatter about Hannah Hidalgo transferring from Notre Dame to Texas. I don’t see how that happens with Breya Preston as the projected starter and Aaliah Spaight coming in next season. I’m sure Hidalgo’s NIL asking price will be big.
  25. “College sports is broken because of rich people, so to fix it, I will pay a softball player $1,000,000 a year, and pay a left tackle who can’t block $750,000 per year”
