  2. Hey this is Payton, one of the interns again, I wanted to take a deeper look into the roster makeup by recruiting class and transfers and was able to find some intriguing data. Here are two new By the Numbers graphics on roster makeup from the past few years, and how Texas’ transfer number compares nationally. The first breaks down who has taken Texas's snaps by signing class from 2023 to 2026, and shows transfers jumping from 16% last season to 41% this season. The second puts that 41% next to the AP top 12 and every SEC team, where Texas lands 15th of 23. I started by charting how many plays each Texas recruiting class gets as freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. The 2025 class's numbers stood out, so I looked at where those snaps were going. The answer was transfers, who now take more snaps than the two biggest signing classes combined. That raised the next question: is 41% a lot? So I ran the same numbers for the AP top 12 and every SEC team. UCLA, Arkansas and Ole Miss are above 70%, while Georgia and Notre Dame are around 12%. Four of the AP top five are at 29% or lower. Do you think this is rise of transfer numbers at Texas is a bad thing? Should they continue to be above that magic 29% number?

  3. Today
  4. i bet poor joey high school had diarrhea after he read that
  5. No doubt. and imagine this game if Texas had to go to Starkville and play against the cowbells on Halloween!
  6. LOL! This is Post of the day material.
  7. They moved the ball on OU D. Over looking anyone is a loss. We need to be ready to play rest of year and still could easily lose.
  8. Given how this team has played so far, I see a lot of people overlooking Mississippi State. I know they don't have KT, but that doesn't mean they are a UTSA level game automatically. They didn't have Kamario Taylor last year either and we need an insane miracle to survive that game. I would love for Saturday to be a day where a ton of guys play and starters get some much needed rest, but if the team is overlooking Mississippi State as much as the fans are, that won't happen. By losing two games that you shouldn't have, the team can't afford to overlook anyone the rest of the year.
  9. This is not correct. You must have gotten your data from MSN!
  10. For some reason, regular season Kavan isn't as dominating as post-season Kavan. She hits another gear at the WCWS. OU's lineup is potent. They've always had the offense. The difference is that they haven't been able to get the top pitcher in the transfer portal like they used to pre-NIL days which allowed them to lock up the one of the few players able to shut down their offense. During their four-peat run from 2021-2024, 3 of the 4 aces on their staff were transfer pitchers. The only one that wasn't was Jordy Bahl (Frahm). Two years ago they tried to get Canady which likely would have gotten them a ship (thanks sand aggy). They've been bringing in transfer pitchers last few years as well but haven't been able to land the top of the elite pitchers like they previously did. Texas kept their ace and have solid help on paper. The lineup stands to be better this year (including new batting coach and offensive assistants). Texas' chances this year to win it all again are fairly good. Next year will be interesting depending on who stays as the only person who runs out of eligibility from the starting lineup is Vivi Martinez and Texas has already recruited an heir there.
  11. With Markanen and Jackson going down last night the Jazz turned to Mo Bamba who had a good game. Bamba played 29 minutes 14 pts 7-8fgs 7 rbs 1 Apple and 4 blocks.
  12. Sucks for Toronto, I know they had.. aspirations of a big year
  13. Impact injuries are stacking up 5 games into season
  14. I know its "as of today" but I don't see Utah staying in the mix...
  15. I think Arch is a great kid and I sort of doubt the Mannings are dictating our offense. I think our offense is 1000% Sark's and Arch is not a great fit in that offense. So either change the play caller or the QB. Given the ceiling we have already hit in the running game predating Arch, I think I'd like to see a new play caller.
  16. Losing Simmons, Kanu, Jelani, Biles, and Geffard will be tough on the defense. They could very well be better, but they'll need to fill some big shoes (Terry, Jackson, Zina, and others look capable of doing so!)
  17. Arch came to Texas in hopes of being developed as a pro quarterback. He basically could have gone anywhere. Sark has always prioritized pocket passers in his programs. My guess is Sark would not part ways with Arch as it would mean he couldn’t develop him like he promised when he recruited him. I for one am all in for Arch using his legs more and Sark calling quicker passes. However, Sark prides himself on development. Not just at the quarterback position but all positions. That’s what brings elite high school players. Getting developed and going pro.
  18. Yeah, I agree, but the end result, if we ever get there, actually benefits the program and other players as a whole. It’s just a high ceiling low floor situation.
  19. I just don't see it happening. They are too classy and seemed to enjoy the University and Austin very much.
  20. There are a 100 kids in the program. If the Mannings are truly dictating how the offense works, then I personally would move on. That is not good for the culture of the program.
