Thoughts on the Texas offense tonight

Our (lack of) offense last season cost us a national championship. Well that and Bert Auburn. This year it will probably be the reason we go 7-5. What exactly would we be losing again by hiring a real OC? Camera shots of Sark staring down at his play sheet in critical situations instead of being a head coach? -

Under. If you throw out the SJSU and SHSU games Arch is averaging 169 yards per game passing. -
College coaching carousel 2025: It's going to be wild

Maybe he was chosen because he was the last QB available. Maybe J A was all they could get. Auburn isn't exactly QBU. -
I feel like and Mike McDaniel are the only guys (probably Kyle Shanahan) that Sark would ever hand the reigns to and none of those guys are ever coming here to be an OC so here we are.

Think I'm going to sit this one out. Not sure I could stomach another pathetic offensive effort like yesterday (and FL and UTEP) before I lose all respect. -
Is this year horrible to watch? Absolutely. The OL alone should get Flood fired, Sark definitely needs an actual OC and I don’t see a lot of value in Milwee after watching our QBs develop. Saying that, so much of your post is inaccurate. We are the only team to go to back to back cfp’s the past two seasons? That’s mediocrity? We’ve had like 26 players drafted in the past two seasons so we definitely develop. NIL resources are not unlimited, anyone that tells you that is wrong. We definitely allocated some resources to keep people that we shouldn’t that is on Sark. I’m disappointed with the season too and I think that changes will have to be made in the offseason but let’s at least make rational points about where we are at as a program.

What i wonder about and have mentioned before………it seems like this Texas team doesn’t show up fired up and ready to play. I called it sleepwalking last night. You sleepwalk in the SEC for long and you are beat. Usually you have a few coaches that are firey guys that get them going or the strength coach/staff. Texas too often seems flat to me. The one time we saw them come out fired up with after a dismal performance against Florida and came out with an attitude against Oklahoma and we saw how that went. I don’t know if it is players are getting paid now and it’s more like the NFL or what, but we don’t seem to come ready to play enough. -

What if I told you that Texas 8-4 might be from Austin this year? -
I'm trying to be in this boat too but I don’t know if I've ever experienced a season where so many wins felt like losses due to abysmal performances but I guess I have to look at Clemson, Penn St & Florida St and be thankful.

What if I told you we’re going to favored by more than a TD? -
A win is a win” is exactly why Texas fans settle for mediocrity. Year 5 under Sark, top5 roster, nearly 11 million dollar coach, unlimited NIL resources and the offense still looks undisciplined, unprepared, and uninspired. A win in the column doesn’t mask systemic failure. The stats, the lack of development, it all points to one conclusion….this isn’t a program being coached to greatness, it’s a program being managed. Sark isn’t elevating Texas he’s capping it. That’s the evidence, plain and simple.
