  1. Past hour
  2. Check the scrimmage thread. Gerry has responded to other people commenting about info on other boards. He doesn’t outright say what’s going on but he said it’s more than family issues and that he’s hopefully it’s resolved.
  3. Steve Sarkisian is scheduled to meet with the media on a Zoom call momentarily to discuss today's scrimmage. We'll be putting updates in the thread from Sark as he gives his rundown of the scrimmage and takes questions.

  4. OMG, so painful. He has two years left. He is an obvious talent who needs to get bigger and practice more. Leader in the clubhouse. Generally speaking, our portal pickups have been all positive. This sounds like a little blowback from a kid who HAS MORE TIME TO GROW, DEVELOP and Mature. As is said above, but assuming a bit of a hissy fit by him/family/influencers, hopefully they cool off, see the big picture, and realize that injuries will mean tons of snaps and probable starts for Ty. Fingers crossed for a good solution for all.
  5. Idk if I would say extremely serious, as that brings to mind things beyond the game of football, but yea serious for our team.
  6. I hope it’s nothing major, but the timing of this (if it’s position related) is not the most beneficial for his future or the team. I hope his agent/family talk to him and get him to understand the opportunity he has. Again, we’re all just speculating, but hoping it’s nothing major.
  7. It’s to late. Everyone has jumped
  8. It’s been confirmed that we aren’t overreacting. There’s a rift and it’s either going to be mended or he will be moving on.
  9. Sounds like it’s something extremely serious and deeper than just “family issues,”
  10. Gabriel Reliford season-ending ACL tear and Damien Shanklin is away from the team indefinitely. McKinley has foot/toe setbacks and starts fall camp taking third-team reps. None of the projected rotation defensive tackles possess the 300-pound-plus frame required for SEC
  11. If he is sitting due to hurt feelings (either because he was chewed out or because he is getting beat out) then that’s a character flaw and doesn’t sit right with me.
  12. One from way back I’d Joe Dixon. Played both ways 62-64.
  13. @Rod Babers and it ain’t that close. Niblett and Gideon in distant second
  14. Hope things get sorted, but iirc, wasn't he an Aggie commit or at least lean before ultimately signing? Have to say, this one is unexpected - felt like he was ascending... Also bad/weird timing for both him and the team. It's not like he can transfer at this point in the season, so what is his option even? Hope its just something that the coaches are aware and he is sorting and comes back ready to go. 🤘
  15. I figured he’d be the popular vote today!
  16. About to start bleeding road runner orange
  17. Is this gonna be Johntay cook 2.0 minus the criminal record?
  18. Today
  19. Hopefully him and the staff get things figured out we will need him this season weather he starts or not
  20. Hard not to wonder what kind of leash he would have for this from the coaching staff. I don’t get the feeling this staff will allow dissent to overshadow what the priorities are. Not the first kid to do this. I think he knows he has made a decision and it’s just not out yet. This isn’t portal season, it’s fall camp and this can’t be allowed to smolder.
  21. I hope not. I want us in Htown more heavily than we are now.
  22. A surefire way to be unfairly treated is to miss practice for mysterious reasons. That has never been the solution for any football related problem.
  23. This would be a giant blow to the team. TyAnthony's impact per play rivals some of the highest level players on the team over his career here...check the bowl game. He has also waited his turn arguably behind of players less talented than him. I do think it is consistent that we bring in a new guy who has been average over his career at FSU to be a back up/situational guy, but then we get write-ups on his "great instincts" while the team is in shells and everyone thinks he is Anthony Hill. TyAnthony's family bleeds burnt orange and are great people. Hopefully he doesn't feel he is getting unfairly treated by the coaches and comes back to make the impact we need him to.
  24. It may be hard for some of us to remember what it was like to be 20 years old. Sometimes the coaches approach different players in different ways. Will be interesting to see how TyAnthony responds in the next few days. I wouldn’t jump to conclusions on this one. I also don’t think we are as thin at LB as people seem to think. I think (may be wrong) Muschamp’s scheme is more of a 3-4 or 3-3-5 than the 4-2-5 we ran under PK and Simmons is a LB instead of an edge in the scheme. The 3 linemen are Giffard, Kanu January or Jackson. If that is the scheme, then there are only two LB spots up for grabs to start. And if Cryer is beating out TyAnthony, maybe TyAnthony needs to figure out where he fits and work towards that. If Spence is one of the other LBs playing time will be thn for a coverage LB whose will probably be subbed for a big nickel instead.
