Not saying they haven’t….. but did they place a bet on their OWN team, while playing QB (which is default a “leadership” role regardless if starting or not. Kinda hard to try to compare if anyone on our team happened to gamble. But gambling on baseball or basketball vs your own team is completely different imo 9,000 bets including ones when you just transferred in with $5mil coming your way is wild. You would think once you had $5 mil you would stop using your homies name/account in case it would cost ya that said $5 mil. Yet here we are.

@harveycmd Gerry and I both think Sam will rewrite the LSU record book for a quarterback in a single season. We’ll take on all comers for any bet. @Gerry Hamilton says no amount of money is too small (he’s the money, I’m the mouth behind this operation). We ain’t scared (Monopoly money talks).

Cig front and center is wild….. I hope we smack them if we see them in the CFP. great coach, not knocking him but people have him on Saban-like status already and I’d like Sark to take up that mantle instead 🤣 -
Another reason why teams should stop scheduling Notre Dame

What kind of fish does he keep? I had a 90 gallon freshwater African cichlid tank that I loved before I gave it up when moving out of state. Loved coming home after work and just watching the tank for an hour or so as a way to decompress. Have 3 kids now and might give it another go when they're a bit older but mortgage, daycare and extra curriculars is eating up all the disposable income right now.

They made the change after this past season that p4 conference winners automatically qualify for the cfp. Same with Notre Dame automatically getting in now so long as they're ranked in the final cfp rankings top 11.

Self immolation is exactly the right term. Sorsby is embarrassing himself. -

https://www.texastech.edu/board-of-regents/bio-heath.php This is the kind of student TT has been trying to attract. As for his role as the student on the Board of Regents it expires tomorrow, or I would have written to him and asked for his vote to end this self immolation, which, of course, is the stepchild of the Board Chair.

@Joe Zura you should take it as an honor that Kirby thinks you’re a freak. -
TT has been upgrading its academic rep. For example, it has been attracting national merit finalists with full ride scholarships. But now, with this corrupt tail wagging the dog the school has suffered a blow to its reputation that may set back its image for a decade. This is a damned shame. America and Texas need more reputable and affordable engineering schools. Football wasn't ever going to add to TT's quietly improving reputation but it didn't have to sully it, which it has. I think TT's President deserves to be fired, immediately.

Apparently he was paying other people to make bets for him—which is evidence he knew it was wrong—and was under the legal age in Indiana when he made the bets. So the people who made the bets could be responsible also. Betting on your team can also be illegal if it involves score fixing. Some Arizona basketball players went to prison for the point shaving part of it and conspiracy to fix the outcome. Not saying that is involved, but the magnitude of his bets on his own team just look terrible. There has to be a consequence for him betting on his team for the sake of the integrity of the game. Not getting to play College sports seems like a slap on the wrist as a penalty.
