  1. Past hour
  2. I'm hoping they take their time evaluating DL. These guys just got out of their sophomore year and will grow quite a bit between now and their ultimate signing date. Each one has tremendous POTENTIAL, though, at this date. HOOKEM
  3. According to the article most recently released by the Athletic, he was not only betting on his team but also AGAINST his team. This should be the nail in the coffin
  4. Could Tech actually be hiding a bigger fish who is gambling?
  5. I’m entertained. There’s so much to unpack here 🤣
  6. Maybe this has been released but I haven’t bothered to search for the details. What I want to know is his exact vets. If he bet he was going to throw for 500 yards then I am not as concerned as if he bet that a WR would have 6 receptions for 50+ yards. Begay I am reading so far makes me think of insider trading.
  7. Has anyone specifically asked if Joey has bet on games?
  8. Community college appears to have made at least one materially false statement in point 1 where they indicate he only bet on his team to win. Other press reports indicate he placed two prop bets against players on his team. Makes you wonder what steps the NCAA might take against them. This goes beyond a lack of institutional control. This is institutional acceptance and justification (and perhaps collusion. They are saying the same thing Sorsby and his lawyers are saying) of multiple direct violations of agreed upon rules. In fact community college just 6 months ago voted to strengthen the very rules they are now arguing against. Any NCAA disciplinary actions taken against the university won’t be covered by antitrust.
  9. @Jeff Howe just wanted to point out that Roger Riojas is currently sitting behind home plate taking in the UC SB v holy cross game lol
  10. Meanwhile, at a different bar somewhere on Dirty 6th:
  11. ......and all Joe Z does is talk basketball 🏀 🙄
  12. What in the actual F this is a thread huh.
  13. Ask and you shall receive @Gerry Hamilton @CJ Vogel
  14. So forget the ones that do? We see it differently. 🤘🏽
  15. One thing appears clear - this young man has a serious addiction. I’m not sure someone with such an addiction can really rationally think about consequences in a way that seems logical to others.
  16. Kessler’s firm has a recognized white collar practice that could take on the various federal and state issues he seems to be dealing with. I bet this silly lawsuit is just one piece of what they’re doing. Sounds like they are playing from behind too. There is NFW that a white collar dude would have recommended this silly lawsuit.
  17. Today
  18. Texas has gone off today. -11 on the day. One shot behind Auburn who is in first.
  19. I can see that being the case
  20. Because they have teetee all over their uniforms. …Courtesy of my dad (rip).
  21. Winning a conference title is not an automatic qualifier for all champs. See Duke. Why would those other schools schedule Tech? All 3 of those would likely be underdogs. Let’s use Duke as a comp. Do you know why Miami got the nod over them for a CFP invite? It was not conference results. You know cause Duke won the ACC. Had Duke been undefeated in non-conference they were in the CFP. Their schedule was pretty weak but the incentive to dumb down their schedule is present. It is also ridiculous to expect Tech to be the only team to have 12 P4 teams on their schedule then win a championship game. We absolutely know that it’s impossible for a team to get up for every game of season. That’s why the SEC had a late season cupcake. The list of teams incentivized to dumb down their schedule exceeds those that benefited. Vandy may be one that can look back and say we should have upgraded but keep in mind their odds of winning would decrease had they upped the non-con. Maybe Miami but they also hardly left home. Texas, Notre Dame, Duke are teams that fell short that could have had different outcomes by scheduling weaker teams under their own control. You could reason that Tech, Ole Miss and one of James Madison or Tulane (another difficult non-con loss means they’re likely out) were reinforced to not make their schedules more difficult. A&M got limited benefit from beating Notre Dame. Indianas scheduling efforts reinforced theirs. Sark commented. You know Tech would respond. Tech was talking up scheduling Texas since news broke that Texas was going SEC so it’s not as though it’s a new thing. Everybody knows including Tech we weren’t going to adjust to accommodate here. In the end, neither team has an incentive to schedule more difficult games.
  22. Their football program deserves the SMU death penalty.
  23. Never thought I’d find a more obnoxious group than the Aggies, but Tech is taking it away from the Ags.
  24. Hope we can keep these guys for a long time, but realistically we need to hope Coach Schloss has his rolodex loaded and ready to go.
  25. Didn’t Pete Rose (The Hit King) get banned for life for betting on his Reds teams when he was their manager? Can’t be betting on your own team as a player or coach,
