If Sark Misses the Playoffs this Season

If they don't win 10 and miss the playoff, expect a lot of changes. -
If Sark Misses the Playoffs this Season

I’ll believe changes to the coaching staff/players will happen when I see it, not counting players leaving due to graduation, transferring, going pro, etc. Or coaches leaving on their own for other opportunities. -

I hope Bobby's answer is that they can do evaluations rather than "rankings." The "rankings" depends too much on size, weight, straight line speed, and most of all, CAMPS. I think all those are important, but game tape should mean something, and it IS, but maybe not as much as it SHOULD. JMO HOOKEM

TV: Most-viewed Red River Rivalry on record
Tuco Ramirez replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
For a hilarious comparison on tv ratings, the most watched game for community college this year was 2.5 million viewers for the Colorado game. That was the 10th most watched game THAT WEEK. No wonder Cody wants to steal our money. -
Are you going to teach them about the proper condiments for corndogs?

Thanks Bobby for giving back and providing a path to learn the trade and for providing the platform to support it. In 1978 there was very little in the way of intern opportunity for hands on learning however KVUE sports brought in three of us from UT communications school. Together we were part of the first ever Friday Night Fever scoreboard and highlight show that fall. It was fun!! KVUE provided the avenue for me to make an audition tape and get my first job in TV sports. Later that fall, it opened the door to work directly with ABC Sports network on college football broadcasts as a production assistant. While I didn't make it a lifelong deal it opened up many other doors to enjoy and be around college sports at UT, eventually becoming the PA voice of Longhorn Men's tennis for 17 years. Enjoy the ride everyone, and learn all you can! These will we the days of your life.

@Bobby Burton With you guys growing miles away since splitting from Inside Texas, will you ever look at getting connected with a national recruiting platform like Rivals? I'm sure the national guys would benefit from the work you guys do here more so than what Inside Texas provides. I don't know how the politics of all that works. Or if it would even be of any benefit to what you guys are doing. I was just asking because this is by far the best Texas site in the industry and there isn't a close second.

I said before the season that last season was a much harder schedule to make the playoffs. Going @ Georgia and @ Ohio State, essentially guaranteed that we would have to run the table. Instead, they went out and lost to a 4 win Florida team and had one of the most miraculous wins I have ever seen against Mississippi State. They did manage to beat both rivals (I always thought they were VERY overrated last season). This season, they somehow beat Ohio State (similar miraculous feeling as Mississippi State). Then followed it up by trying their best to convince Tennessee to beat them and did convince Oklahoma to beat them. With two teams in two seasons that are all Sark's recruits, missing the playoffs twice in a row will make that seat quite hot. Especially if in both seasons they lose to terrible, terrible teams (OU this year included) that prevent them from getting into the playoffs. Arch Manning, 30+ million dollar roster, both rivals are bad this season.... I am currently of the belief that there isn't a coach in college that puts us in a better situation (sure as hell not Dan Lanning). Marcus Freeman should never leave Notre Dame (and he lost to Northern Illinois at home, people forget). I'm not sold on HCs in their first year having success (So far). Not sure who you would hire, but people are going to (understandably) be very unhappy about the job the HC has done the last two seasons. We'll see if they can go on a run, sure hope so. Not saying they shouldn't force Sark to make hard decisions (that he probably won't like), but not sure exactly who you would move to. Don't want to end up like Penn State, that's for sure. Thoughts?

Welcome all. Like I told Jordan and Hank when they first came on, don't let the Portal House of Horrors scare you away when portal season opens up. Awesome work @Bobby Burton! You are definitely a great human being for giving these guys this opportunity! -
Faulkner was the OC during Blake's 2025 season as the DC at Georgia Tech. Blake will have learned some of Buster's tendencies. There's already some murmurs that Florida was showing some tells on offense - now this level of familiarity. Blake isn't our defensive play caller so the familiarity going the other way shouldn't be quite as pronounced.

Welcome interns...there's a Starbucks on San Antonio at 24th AND another one on 15th (Sark has been spotted here). But if you're into local then there's Jo's on 24th and Rio Grande. Breakfast tacos for the staff is always a pro move, Kesos on MLK.

The SEC is won in trenches and UT has NOT prioritized the OL like it should have with Arch as the QB.

By the looks of it, our softball team has re-loaded with some ballers. Katie at the plate, puts fear in the opponent. Kavan on the mound is what legends are made of these days. We are great again.
