Texas didn’t just sign a good player in South - they signed a left‑handed catcher who hits like she’s trying to tear the cover off the ball and runs like she’s late for class. Yeah, she’s a lefty behind the plate, and some folks get weird about that - but when you’re dropping a .620 average, 23 bombs, 20+ steals, and playing clean defense, those ‘concerns’ turn into other teams’ problems real fast. Stevie South is a unicorn. Nobody else in the country is bringing in a lefty catcher with that kind of production. That’s not recruiting - that’s theft. While other programs brag about ‘solid signees,’ Texas is adding a kid who could start for half the SEC tomorrow. Mike isn’t rebuilding....he’s stockpiling weapons the rest of the league can’t even shop for.
