Sark needs this kind of Augie intensity
Jceciliano98 replied to Roy Hinojosa's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Not the type of coach Sark is. Team would tell that it's disingenuous, would probably hurt more than help. -
It's funny that Sarkisian has tricked himself to thinking we are an aggressive/physical outfit just because we go for it on 4th and short. We are not physical. We are not aggressive. It's a mindset and culture. Sark uses it as a platitude to say something at press conferences. We have no leadership anywhere on the field. Our culture is known for celebrations instead of physical play. We are a sham in every sense of the word right now. From Sark to the water boy and all levels in between

I wish they did not look good against the Cowboys.

Sark Malpractice - Going for it on 4 and 1 right before Half
Shmatt replied to BillP880's topic in On Texas Football Forum
But then he ran a shotgun formation knowing his OL couldn’t block a fly That part was idiotic by Sark, if you’re gonna go for it just do a QB sneak Also would have been smarter to let a first time starter go down the field instead of running a play that hasn’t worked for us this year and giving up good field position -

That will do nothing to make Arch a better QB. -

Texas Soccer- The New Era on the Horizon
SL Xpress replied to TexTheHorn24's topic in On Texas Football Forum
What Bates has done with this team is remarkable. I'm excited about our future. We do need to upgrade the soccer facilities. I don't know what that looks like, but we're not competitive in that sport with our facilities any more. I'd think Bates was given some assurances before taking the job. In any case, she was not handed a full kitchen cabinet, and they've suffered some critical injuries. The level of production this year after last year's abomination has been heartening to say the least. -

"I gotta live with this motherfu*king fu*king embarrassing game the rest of my fu*king life!" If Sark didn't have this kind of speech after the game then I don't want him as my coach.

This play sums up the entire offense...

I don't care when they make the move. I just don't wanna see any more of the absolute garbage quality of QB play we've been seeing. We can't even function as an offense. If Arch gets benched at some point vs Ole Miss, it'll be his own fault. -
This is an eye opening post. I was thinking about this last week. Sarks offense would get ahead then shut it down just be in a dog fight. This has always been the deal with Sark.

Watching Florida lose an exhibition game to Baylor was comical. That team literally can't shoot. Some of the worst offense I've ever seen. If they are the best team in the country (they clearly aren't), college basketball is in a bad place. -

At the time, I thought he regretted the decision from the week before, adressed it in practice, and it was a reasonable challenge to his unit. Reflecting on it during the game, I'd much rather have used my D for field position and clock management. But I was trusting the D at that point in the game. Now seeing his answer, its baffling to say play design was a factor in failing. That's what last week - and the off-season including the portal - were for. It make all of the above moot and makes the season and program not only about a lower ceiling, but lower floor.

If that time calls for KJ, then by all means let him give it a go. But calling for him to start over Arch Manning with Ole Miss coming to town is just not smart. Why put the fate of the season on a backup QB who has never played true competition in real time? I get replacing Arch mid way through the game if nothing changes from Arch to try to get something going for the offense, but willing throwing him in the fire and expecting results fast is just wishful thinking. I’m not saying I’m disagreeing that arch isn’t playing good whatsoever, but we cannot pressure another QB change and expect results. Same thing happened with Quinn and Arch and look how that turned out. I remember people calling for Arch because Quinn couldn’t navigate the pocket like him or like he could the years before, same thing is happening to Arch. You don’t just regress after two seasons just because. This is a coaching problem that needs fixing. -

Back up QB is always the most popular guy on the campus. These same idiots wanted to bench quinn for arch. 🤷🏾♂️😂
