  1. Past hour
  2. Gus won it twice in 29 years. Augie won it twice in 20 years. Both in a completely different era of baseball where it was EASIER to win because there were not as many competitive teams or programs who cared about baseball. So it’s great they fully expected to win it every year. They didn’t do in 45 of the 49 years. Insinuating Texas doesn’t want or expect to win every time they step in the field is just some form of message board fan fiction.
  3. What restaurant, I might pop up
  4. I agree. Schloss just finished year 2. Augie got to Texas in 1997. Won 1st title in 2002. Gus got to Texas in 1968. Won his first in 1975. Jeff didn't say getting there was enough. He said they have enough talent to get back. Anyone outside Norman expect ou to win this year? Once in Omaha, all bets are off.
  5. Have to get to Omaha first to win it
  6. I agree with you. Any Punch talk being too short to be effective in the SEC is complete hogwash and lack of research. Collin Murray-Boyles at South Carolina/NBA 1st rounder is 6-7, 245. Punch has physicality and skill combo at his position, and plays both ends. He went for 22 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks in two games vs. Budinga/Tiller at Kansas. 10, 8 and 2 blocks vs. Arizona frontline. The Big 12 had terrific bigs in the conference in 2025-26, on multiple teams. And Punch was having to log a lot of minutes playing against 5's. Punch averaged 13, 6, 2.3 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.4 steals in Big 12 play ... in what was a terrific conference. I would take that right now in SEC play in 2026-27, no questions asked. If he improves 4-5% from the FT line, that ppg jumps to 14.5'ish.
  7. This is good news for any fans that think Punch is too short to be an effective PF in the SEC. He put up this stat line against arguably the best frontcourt in college basketball. Now he's gets to play with a better C in the 7-foot Vokietaitis. Those two regular season matchups between Texas and Florida will be fun to watch. I put the Punch-Vokietaitis frontcourt duo up against any frontcourt duo in the country.
  8. I'll see what I can do
  9. Today
  10. Congratulations! I hope life gives you lots of wonderful moments and memories with both your wife and little princesses!
  11. Went to school with his cousins JacQuizz and James Rodgers. Landon is more dominant than them- bigger and faster. But believe it or not, Quizz and James were more fun to watch in HS. Part of it is just that Landon is so dominant that it is almost boring to watch. Landon just burns and trucks dudes. Quizz had moves. Dude was like watching Barry Sanders but at the HS level. Broke the Texas state TD record his senior year I believe at 136. Pretty much single handedly willed us to a state title victory over RG3 lead copperas Cove his senior year. People had us pegged to lose to Dickinson in round one. In that game, Quizz had a passing TD, receiving TD, punt return TD and two rushing TDs and we beat Dickinson 35-7. For the state championship game, our starting safety got injured on a key interception vs New Braunfels in the state semifinal, so Quizz played both ways in the championship game. James was great as well, but played safety and slot receiver. The game I remember most from him was vs El Campo his jr year. We were down 14-0 and El Campo was moving. All of the sudden James comes out of a standing pile having stripped the ball carrier and returned it for a TD. Basically the very next play or a few plays later he did the exact same thing and tied the game up 14-14. Those guys in that family have WILLPOWER!
  12. I need that shirt!!!
  13. Being a tourist at Omaha is not the goal. 🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏾
  14. I’ve got concerns about the 2027 roster, but I believe the current staff can get the most out of what they’ve got, which would be enough to get back to Omaha. — Jeff Here is the thing though. With Gus and Augie Texas was not just happy to be at Omaha. They fully expected to win it. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
  15. Watched it more than once. There was a short TD run against Miss St that was less than 30 yards but no complaints from me
  16. They did, but fortunately nearly all of those guys underperformed.
  17. Congratulations brother 👏🏼 🎉
  18. Congrats, brother! Our second was born in February. Losing time with the first is definitely the hardest part about having the second. May the Night Princess bring a winter that lasts a generation
  19. Id guess it also helps complete the puzzle of why and when linemates do what they are doing.
  20. The country club is better than us all as it has spoken. 😂🤣
  21. My oldest is only 2 but it feels like yesterday when she was born. Makes me sad and happy all at once.
  22. Congrats! Enjoy this time. She'll be grown before you can blink. My youngest just hit 32.
  23. Ladies and gentlemen, the second NightPrincess was born on June 30th of this past week. Had to get a few days under my belt before the announcement
