  1. Past hour
  2. Not sure what's "better" in this context. I'm thinking historical importance. I saw the post with the city limit sign for Detroit, TX. I remember playing Detroit in a tournament in Sulphur Springs in December 1988. Their fans had a chant that went something like, "De-Troit, De-Troit. We're coming at you now and we're gonna rule the court, De-Troit, De-Troit." We won the game something like 77-61.
  3. Texas wins the Natty going 16-0 and Gerry comes out with a box of corndogs with mayo for Bobby to "enjoy".
  4. Today
  5. Wingo leads the team in yards. Coleman leads the team in tds. Mosely leads the team in receptions. Arch has a Joe Burrow-like jump from his 3rd to 4th year. Texas beats both Ohio St & Georgia this year.
  6. Go Stros! 🌠
  7. Searching for Phil Steele's preview and DCTF around the 4th of July has marked the beginning of football season for me going on 25 years.🤘
  8. That was a great interview.
  9. I'm curious though, if we praise Muschamp and give him some credit for the Georgia teams defense when he was co-DC, does Nansen share any of the blame for the mishaps of the defense while he is co-DC at Texas? I mean I personally like the guy but was just thinking about that today.
  10. I agree. You only live once. As long as he continues to mature, and it doesn’t affect his work ethic, enjoy it.
  11. @Blake Munroe @CJ Vogel
  12. Yesterday
  13. I could have gained of few yards through that hole.
  14. I am sure Coach Vic would take her back. If she were to devote herself to the weight room, she could be playing pro somewhere.
  15. Yall are killing it with the interviews lately 🤘
  16. At Barnes & Noble and Books-a-Million.
  17. Speaking of Phil Steele are preseason magazines hitting the racks yet?
  18. I spoke with Phil Steele this morning about the Longhorns and his take on the 2026 CFB season. “A Legitimate National Title Contender” — Phil Steele’s BOLD Texas Prediction | Steve Sarkisian
  19. NIL requirements from the portal guys will play a part in determining what Texas does IMO.
  20. I was 15 visiting my grandparents in Weimar Tx. It’s also my brother’s birthday today (72).
  21. I had just left the law school and turned on the AM radio in my beater Ford Falcon. Neal Spelce was reporting. The next hours were terrifying. That night, afterward, we were at Scholz's. Law students, friends, girl friends, wives. Joanne Weeks, Terry Weeks' wife, had been pinned to the floor of their old black Mercedes Benz parked on the Drag. She knew there was shooting and panic and thought it was a riot. It must have been 115 degrees in the car. Fred Helms, then an Air Force Captain and grad student, ducked behind the hedge at the foot of the Tower next to the stairwell. After persons were shot on the south stairs, when Whitman would circle the Tower, Fred would time it and pull wounded victims in under the hedge with him, bandage them if possible. There were so many stories that day. So much fear, so much panic. One of the later revelations: Whitman had told a UT Health Service Psychiatrist, a good one, by the way, that he had thoughts of shooting people from the Tower. Of course it was not known during Whitman's life that he had a tumor.
