What I don't understand from that game is that simulation by a defensive line is supposed to be be a penalty. Even the "legit" false start calls involved the Ole Miss DL simulating the snap. The TV crew claimed that it is legal as long as they don't jump over the line of scrimmage, but I don't think that is accurate. Those should have been delay of game on the defense.

Arch got hit in face twice , once refs made him sit out a play. Watch M Terry two runs. Both he got hit helmet to helmet. Arch in Miss State last year got knocked out of game with helmet to helmet , no call, Not this crew i don't think. Got targeted in playoff game against Ohio State late. Herbie ignored that on replay and started lobbying for a fumble. That was why he was not in game on one yard line and first and goal and may have cost us the game. Point being, apparently it is legal to target Arch. ON those I blame the booth .

I think in the Tennessee game, we got a PF on one of our DEs for hitting the QB in the head after they tried to block the pass? It was a totally incidental play, and we still got the PF. Yet Arch gets hit in the head with a helmet and no call. That inconsistency makes you want to throw the remote at the TV or stomp on the bleachers. The constant blown movement calls, with Ole Miss clearly coming forward across the LOS, also pissed me off. You could tell Sark was bewildered by the calls because he was constantly arguing with the Side Judge.

This. I've seen a ref's arm cocked back to throw DPI before questionable contact is even made.

Vann hit 6-6 from 3. Vic had all 5 freshmen playing out there for a chunk of the 4th, and Baylor still had a few of their starters in. They held up well. SEC will be a different ballgame, as they say, but you can see the potential. Besides the lack of experience behind the 3 Bs, this team is a post player short, in my opinion. I don't think we're going to get any minutes from Hose in any of the big games. They're gonna have to ride or die with Breya, and go small ball with Etute if Breya gets in foul trouble.
