I’d expect Alabama and Texas A&M to be heavily involved with Coleman.

I don’t know about Texas’ involvement at the moment.

Would Alabama pay for both Ryan Williams and Cam Coleman? Or would this be with a possibility of Ryan Williams entering the portal?

So did you purposefully ignore the first part of my post? OL is the priority, as I said. WR still needs to be upgraded.

And I say WR doesn't need to be upgraded as clearly as I typed it. Did you read that?

I quite literally addressed that by repeating that WR needs to be upgraded. I think you are wrong. The staff clearly thinks you are wrong as well considering all of the reporting suggest that they will be looking for a WR in the portal.

2021 Georgia went 14-1 with their leading wide receiver catching 31 passes

2022 Georgia went 15-0 with their leading WR catching 50 passes

2023 Michigan went 15-0 with their leading War catching 48 passes

tell me again how you need elite receivers to win games? Allocate to the trenches and defensive depth. You absolutely can win it all next season with the receivers we have on this roster.

You win upfront.  Pretty simple.  Maybe those skill guys will you to victory on occasion, but that’s where you need the most consistency.

We have lost to OSU twice in the past year.  It wasn’t the WRs that gave us the most issues.

Do you know who was throwing the ball to Cam 😂

I know exactly who is throwing him the ball, I just don't care. Is Cam good yes and I would say back up the brinks truck if that was the most important hole we had on offense. I would rather break the bank at OL and RB ahead of WR. And LB is a close third.

You or I clearly can't fix their line of thinking even when the obvious is on film all freaking year.

I know its silly to say, "forget about the money," but Texas just needs to figure out how to make it happen. We continuously hear they are the richest athletic department in the country. They should leave absolutely nothing up for debate this season. If guys just don't want to come here, fine, but give the best offers to the Cam Colemans, Ryan Williams, and Jayden Baughs of the world.

Bama reporter on TOS said he doesn’t expect Bama to be a player in the Coleman sweepstakes.

You’re saying this as if everyone is saying the OL doesn’t need to be upgraded. We all know it does. Every single person here thinks the OL needs big upgrades. That doesn’t mean we can’t also want upgrades at WR.

It’s an interesting dynamic.  Peoples way of thinking.

So many QBs issues can be tied to protection.

Would you rather pay Dallas Wilson $1.5 mil and have him for 2 years or Cam Coleman $2 mil for 1?  Btw I’d be surprised it it’s not aggy for Coleman. If nothing else we should try to drive their price up

Dallas Wilson battled 2 foot injuries this year only playing in 4 games and only had 12 catches(6 of those vs us). Give me Coleman for one year, easily.

Coleman because he is the better player in Arch's final year.

Coleman for 1 and it’s not close. The problem with the Wilson line of thinking is that there will be another renegotiation next year.

Agree and posted this exact sentiment.

I don’t believe so

My thing with A&M flirting with high dollar WR is pretty simple.

Until they get a quarterback that’s able to consistently complete 10 yard passes, none of their moves mean anything to me.

I never said we can't or wouldn't upgrade the receiver room. I'm saying it isn't and shouldn't be a priority. You will/should upgrade that room solely with experience from existing players and the right fit with portal guys. That room didn't get upgraded from the previous season and it still isn't a glaring problem. The OL and an early season Arch was/is the problem. Arch was fixed. The OL with 4 new starters this season, mostly inexperienced, and a RB room that left a lot to be desired and not really a fit for the scheme are the biggest issues on the offense. Flashy, expensive wide receivers will do little to help the offense if you don't address the other problems by priority.
