This is HUGE and expected.  At least for me.  How can we NOT go to 105 while other programs are?  Certainly the whole OR grabbing WR talent may have woke the SEC higher ups up!

So what happens with WO's?  Are they eliminated or we get 20 WO's in ADDITION to the 105?

Inquiring minds!

So who are your top 20 extra must haves?

Depends on who enters the portal. Definitely IOL,a RB, a over the ball DL, DB, IL, punter, kicker, probably award several current walkons.

Texas was operating at 85 scholarships this season after spending #85 on Marshall Landwehr.

Three departures already are down to 82, there will obviously be plenty more. But you could realistically be looking at 50 new additions to the Longhorn roster in 2026.

It'll be interesting to see how the NIL funds get split to 20 extra players. You definitely don't want to rob funds from superstar #1 to help secure Dude Bro #104.

I don't think this drastically effects the portal as much as high school recruiting. You can take a chance on the low 3 star or even high 2 star guy now. This will certainly eliminate preferred walk ons simply because those players will be on scholarship.

If this had been announced two days earlier, would Corey Wells and his brother at Texas?

I don't believe so. Wouldn't have changed Auburn's approach
