Is there really no LG and RG or LG and RT in the portal that's gonna enter the portal or that's in the portal that we like? You could easily get two really good starters for that price... he could be a top 15 pick…… lol it ain’t our money! ALL IN. remember? you don’t go all in to save a bit! arch gave us the money to do this kinda stuff ! Quote

Also I'm pretty sure all the money that Arch didn't try to squeeze out of Texas is already gone to Coleman lol... It's just a lot of damn money at a spot (tackle) where we're really doing pretty good. Even if I get the whole argument about moving baker to RG... Quote

The mods know a ton too, they are the between fans and staff essentially. That is just why I believe there is a reason it was emphasized about Seaton. Especially after they said the Ole Miss guard had to show up in the portal (resigned today) and Brunner is staying in the midwest. I think if he shows up in the portal we are swinging for the fences because the lure the player in the portal method has not worked. Edited 1 hour ago by 901longhorn 1 Quote

And now we’re onto more “Big Game Hunting” again for Jordan Seaton. I gotta admit at this point Sark has to bait more of these OL + IOL. HS Recruiting development failure isn’t an option for 2026 Get him a lifted chevy, a hunting license, a house and some land. Oh and throw in some Natty lite and he's ours boys! 1 2 Quote

We still did really good in the portal but clearly it's a lesson for next year imo. We clearly tried to get the Michigan OLs to come to us, among other players at other positions, and it didn't work at all. 1 Quote

Brian Hickey Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Are we sure Baker would be good at guard? I’m not convinced. If I’m Baker and we land Seaton I would look at the portal. That’s another consideration. I would still do it but that is just a scenario to consider. 1 Quote

Here for the Wins Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago PFF numbers reflect him to be a poor run blocker. Let’s say he’s Kelvin Banks level pass protector. But poor in the run game. Are fans going to whimper and whine when we can’t run the ball in those big games? Quote

Shouldn’t Texas be a premier destination if we did have two “open” spots for elite talent? Or have we just been waiting for some bigger fish like Seaton? There hasn’t been any elite talent in the portal at OL. The two Michigan guys were very good. This is the first elite OL in the portal. Texas is definitely a premier spot but so are multiple other places. Oregon is elite. Ohio State is elite etc etc 1 Quote
