Casey67 Posted yesterday at 07:57 PM Posted yesterday at 07:57 PM Yahoo Sports wrote an article listing the most valuable college football programs. The Longhorns were first with a value of over 2 billion and aggie came in a distant second at 1.5 billion. That's NOT the funny part. It's this direct quote from the article: "Texas A&M proves that you don’t need a shelf full of trophies to be one of the most valuable businesses in the country." That back handed compliment was teeth shattering. I died laughing. 4 28 Quote

Bobby Burton Posted yesterday at 08:37 PM Posted yesterday at 08:37 PM A&M being worth more than Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State and about a half dozen others is not exactly an endorsement of said list. 6 5 Quote

I imagine certain publicly disclosed factors played into that list and I can further imagine A&M exaggerating on their end because that's just what they do. From stadium size to logo size to drum size they are clearly compensating for having an embarrassingly small...........uh...............trophy shelf. I guess they have a bad case of micro-shelf. Poor aggies. Edited yesterday at 10:42 PM by Casey67 1 Quote

Poor aggies. Kyle field does hold more than Texas, plus they e been in the sec longer so theyve had a bigger paycheck every year from the conference. They also have very motivated donors to try to be bigger and better than texas so they have dumped a lit of money into it. Quote

I don’t think they made than us—in fact with the 15m/yr from lhn, we may have come out ahead. Quote

That back handed compliment was teeth shattering. I died laughing. My stepson graduated from A&M. So I had to walk the campus with him. Nice campus, and we end up at a bookstore. I look at this picture on the wall of a basketball game. I immediately notice Gabe Muoneke. This a guy who played basketball at UT in the late nineties. So it’s a picture of a game Texas played there. I look up at the score, and it’s something like 36-34. How could that be? So I look a little closer, and it’s the halftime score. And yes I looked up the score. A&M lost at home to Texas. So, they had a photo on the wall of a game they lost! I told the lady at the counter about it. “Well most of the students here don’t know that. Does it really matter”? No, it doesn’t matter. I still tell that story to every Aggie I run into. 4 4 Quote

Right before they send it to the two announcers, the studio guys point out the national championship signs outside the stadium have mysteriously grown by several. They all start laughing and then the announcers begin.....................classic aggie. Even a new conference INSTANTLY recognized them as frauds. Quote
