Texas continues their undefeated streak and the Horns are now 11-0 on the season after beating Coastal Carolina, Baylor and Ohio State over the weekend in the Bruce Bolt Classic.

Here are the latest rankings:

D1Baseball: 3 (LW: 3)

Baseball America: 5 (LW: 6)

Perfect Game: 5 (LW: 6)

We will continue to update the thread as more polls are released.

The insane part is that all four of the teams above us have at least one loss. UCLA is #1 at 9-2.

I don't agree with 5 either. Texas has been dominant to start this season.

I get it, but UCLA has played 4 Top 25 teams in TCU, Tenn, A&M, Miss St. They won all 6 of those contests. 

Thankfully, the polls don't matter at all right now. Just keep stacking wins.

Losses to San Diego St. and UC San Diego. I get it, but the way we've looked it would be very hard for me to not rank us #1.

Blake, why the disparities over various polls?  I do not follow them currently, so perhaps you could write a column on historical biases and criteria on the various polls??

Was not UTSA the only other 3 - 0 team at Bruce Bolt??

I liked their Sunday uniforms which looked plain as hell visiting field grays with a tilted cursive San Antonio on them. No swooshes or any thing.

They handled Baylor well.  They will be a pain in Regionals.

Who was the Uniform provider in the Gus era??   I am liking them more than ever!!

Aside from Coastal - who we just played, so many will recognize it - which logo is hard to understand?

You've got SEC, Big 10, Big 12, and ACC schools for most of the rest. Then Southern Miss and UTSA, which are widely known.

I forgot if the Beavers are in a conference now. Haha.

These polls don't actually matter, but I just want to sht on the opinions of PG and BA because it's fun!! 

What are your polls measuring? Is it ranking actual resumes so far, the eye test of the "best team," most likely to win it all, predicting how the committee will rank teams for the tourney (they are ranking through 32 this year for the first time)...

On resume, eye test, or most likely to win it all: I don't see any way Texas should be lower than 3. 

Only way they could justifiably be lower than 3 is if your poll is predicting end of season rankings, where an SEC schedule means you will take more losses  vs. the "grade inflation" for Southern Miss, TCU, Oregon, USC, Oregon St, etc... and even the ACC teams in what looks to be a weaker year for them. But except GT, those teams are already behind Texas, so it can't be this...

Therefore, these polls are *Trump voice* WRONG! 😂 

Anyway, these polls (opinions) don't actually do anything in the real world. I can't wait for SEC play to start and to see how Jim manages toward peaking at the right time this year.
