TexasTom Posted March 27 Posted March 27 They gave it their full effort. A lot of what-ifs and just-nearly's. Purdue was a very experienced team and their two big men were smart veterans, and that really showed.....enough to barely edge us. Tramon carried us. Swain was swarmed by the defense. We weren't going to beat the next team, even if it was Arkansas, especially being so hobbled. 2 Quote

Wilcher, Heide and Pope being hurt made it a must. 1 Quote
MikeH Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Tons of what ifs, including "what if Traore was healthy so we could avoid getting bludgeoned down low every time Matas sits". But couldn't be prouder of this team and the heart that they showed, especially Pope and Mark tonight playing through pain. Miller proved himself and my excitement level for men's hoops is as high as it's been in a LONG time. Looking forward to seeing how he re-tools next year. Lots of scoring to replace with Swain (probably), Mark, and Pope moving on. 2 Quote
Uneekhorn Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Nick codie said most every one is coming back. I hope they increase the budget to get a couple more vets. We are very young. All on all this team showed real grit and Texas fight!🤘🏾🤘🏾 3 Quote

ATX16 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Nic Codie grew on me the last couple of weeks. He has qualities that show up when he gets decent minutes. Good passer, good IQ, good shot selection. I think he's a solid piece on a good team. 2 Quote
