Moderators Jeff Howe Posted April 1 Author Moderators Posted April 1 A one-out RBI double by Galloway makes it a 9-6 game. Ethan Walker is on the mound for Texas. Texas State has a runner on second with one out. Quote
utx2 Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Wow that was bad outing again. Almost got two outfielders knocked out. Come on, someone step up Quote
LonghornLegends Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Are these outfielders just ready to go out and party or what? Also walker meet transfer portal lol. Quote
Class of 04 Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Ethan Walker needs to find another hobby, baseball is not for him. Quote
Here for the Wins Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Just now, HudGar1922 said: gotta be very hard for college baseball coaches with NIl and the draft to have a deep roster, pitching and hitting NIL may make it easier. Pitching and hitting both need live, game reps. Those are limited. Many teams only start 9/10 capable guys then only run 11/12 deep for guys that actually hit. Pitching is similar in that maybe 10-12 guys get decent innings. With the portal for baseball players there’s less incentive to sit as a frosh. It’s too easy to transfer and too important to sit a year. At least with NIL, you can theoretically pay guys for the opportunity to maybe crack the lineup. Otherwise, it’s difficult to keep them riding the pine to develop. 1 Quote
LonghornLegends Posted April 1 Posted April 1 You know it’s bad when you have to break out crossland to shut down big bad Texas state 😂😂😂 No more mid week games please and thank you. 1 Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted April 1 Author Moderators Posted April 1 After allowing two runs on three consecutive doubles, Walker is out of the game. Brett Crossland is out of the bullpen with a runner on second and one out. Quote
awashbump Posted April 1 Posted April 1 There’s no way Walker is SEC level, right? Throwing 85 right down the middle is not gonna cut it Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted April 1 Author Moderators Posted April 1 The runner on second base scored after advancing to third on a passed ball. But Crossland got back-to-back groundouts to get out of the inning. Quote
