It was rumored Breya might portal. Well, she needs to get sent packing now.

She’s telling girls not to transfer to Texas, specifically Jada Williams, who turned down a substantial offer because of Breya.

This is the kind of crap we were hearing about at the beginning of Sark's tenure here, i.e. the "Bo Rant"...  people not willing to put in the effort, as well as negatively recruiting potential team members.

I have watched every piece of tape on incoming power forward Isi Etute from Luxembourg.  She is a big, strong 6'2" powerhouse. I am sure Justice Carlton, who I love, must have seen the writing on the wall. Isi is so much better than her. Isi has a great handle, great instincts, fast, can shoot from outside, can drive right or left and she is somewhat ambidextrous.  Yea, those end of year meetings must not have been fun for our portal girls. Addison Bjorn is better than Aaliyah Crump. I am starting to think playing time had a lot to do with these portal entries. Bri Crittendon will likely spell Booker. These girls are ready to play the moment they arrive.

Still no word from Bri Preston. I wonder if coach is trying to keep her. She should know she will be the starting point guard next year. That is a big deal. She won't have to deal with Raven Johnson and the others that have moved on. Vanderbilt has two great guards coming back. And of course Aaliyah Chavez. The SEC is just brutal. Tons of great players.

I hope she stays.  She’s got a gear that not too many people have.  She puts pressure on defenses with her quickness

Can't put all your eggs in the Booker basket offensively. Better get some real shooters.

Dude, watch the tape. Bri Crittendon, most points in Colorado history. Itute, beast! Bjorn, incredible outside shooter and driver to the hoop. Holguin busted for 25 plus at State. Incredible outside shot. Spaight is a Hannah Hidalgo clone.

Maddie deserves every possible advantage Vic can get her. The freshmen are pieces to the puzzle, but they are not the solution to Maddie's last season at Texas.

I'll believe it when it happens in the next Final Four.

It seems the key here is that locker room dynamics have more to do with this than NIL. The money in WCBB is nothing compared to football or MCBB.

I remarked that this phenomenon might be more pronounced among female college athletes... and wow, I got absolutely flamed.

My only defense is that I am an old divorced guy and primarily Old School in my opinions.

I'm the father of daughter (UT 2017) and have seen things that shaped my reasons for posting my comments about the dynamics of the interpersonal relationships in female sports teams.

I totally agree with your post.

The freshmen are great and can help win lots of games but you aren’t making championship runs with lots of freshman. Need to add some experience.
And let’s pump the breaks on any Hannah Hidalgo comparisons. She is one of one for now. Straight is good but she will need time.

Serious question: how do you know Skim hates Texas? I ask because I am new to her discord but starting to get that vibe. I have an issue with the way she presents Texas info, but I thought it was just a me problem.

Well, Skim, the feeling is mutual from some of the Longhorns fans....

I think the poster said Kim (Mulkey) hates Texas, not Skim (Milkey) ... but could have read it wrong

My earlier comment was referring to Mulkey. I just checked my "Respect Ladder," and found Ole' Kimberly on the bottom rung.

She won't have a better opportunity at a contender than here where she'd be set to start unless we get a star PG from the portal. Bri is still a year away from being a consistent contributor and leader on the team.

Except Spaights is an open gate on defense. 🤣She'll have to develop ALOT on defense to even get serious playing time with Vic, but I'm sure she knows that.

Unfortunately, the team isn't set up right now to capitalize on Maddie's last season. Very few teams on the women's side get to the Final Four with mostly new players on their roster much less win a championship in Vic's system. Unless we get a couple experienced stars in the portal that can pick up things fast, my expectations will be tempered a bit for next year.
