Califashorn75 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago We likely won't see any of the transfers during the regular season. I still can't figure out why Jordan Lee left. She was always in the post game pressers, seemed to like Coach, was a fan fave too. We may never know. Unless it was money. Good luck to her. 1 Quote

Califashorn75 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago He has said on numerous occasions that these players are his life. Coach loves his players. No way would he allow her to grieve alone across the Atlantic. 4 Quote
HookemTexas Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Vic coaches like a parent; he sets expectations and demands excellence while offering tough love. If players break rules, he holds them accountable. Sometimes it may suck to see fan favorites or talents players leave, but based on the above - I do not believe it's because of the type of leadership that Vic puts out. I'm not saying he's perfect (no one is), but I am confident in his ability to hold players accountable in a world where accountability has been lacking for a long time and star players usually get away with more because they are "star" players. 8 1 Quote

Don't know many coaches that would do that especially for one that didn't play much this season on his team. One thing you can't question is that Vic cares about these girls no matter how tough he is. 3 2 Quote

To put things in perspective, he could have easily prioritized the portal and getting replacement players for the ones leaving; but he chose to focus on the human and being there for a player. Admittedly, I've been refreshing trying to see what info there is on incoming transfers, but this makes sense why there hasn't been much news. While I want Texas to field the best possible teams and always win it all, Vic's actions show that there are things more important than sports. Also, prayers for Grace Prenter's family, it's very difficult to lose a loved one, especially a parent. 1 Quote
