SuperDave0805 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Pitching has been horrendous but right now the hitting isn't good either, We aren't stringing hits together and advancing runners and are only scoring through homeruns 2 Quote

harveycmd Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago The most disappointing thig is that the team just hasn't been ready to compete. First game was close, but literally couldn't throw a strike when needed. Game two was a joke all around. This is not a good sign for the postseason. 1 Quote
UTexas Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago First series loss of the year I believe for baseball and the 2nd for the ladies. Not too shabby. Never ideal to lose to rivals but it happens. Time to bounce back and carry on. 1 Quote
harveycmd Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Maybe we'll catch a break and the game will be canceled today. Edited 4 hours ago by harveycmd Quote

You can say they didn't "execute," but you can't compete without executing under pressure. Quote

What about the trend prior to the weekend when we did it a bunch against good teams? Everyone loves to focus on the 3-4 bullpen blowups while ignoring the other 27 wins where the bullpen did their job. Including the entire OU series, the entire South Caroline series and the final two games against Auburn and Ole Miss. 1 Quote
CoachBobbyFinstock Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Game 1 we competed. We absolutely blew that game though. We had zero reason to lose it. I will say this team hasn’t looked focused for some reason. There are too many guys struggling to say they are with the errors, bad ABs, walks etc. It’s not just one or two players. Strange. harveycmd Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago World has nothing to do with baseball. Schloss didn't have these boys ready to play. No getting around it. Don't want to hear more about "mental game" until there's a title. 1 Quote

I love how openly people talk about national titles around here, in all sports, like it is some easy thing to do. 1 Quote

harveycmd Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Schloss didn't acknowledge the hate because he was afraid of the "mental" aspect of it. That was obviously a mistake. You must meet challenges head on. Quote
harveycmd Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Did MJ or Kobe ever shy away from meeting a rival head on? Both of those guys made excuses to make things personal. That's why they have eleven combined titles. Quote
harveycmd Posted 55 minutes ago Posted 55 minutes ago I remember watching an interview of Kobe talking about playing the Spurs before game one of the 2001 WCF. Kobe said he was going to kill them. That's what he did. 45 and 10 at age 22. Quote
