Texas has the #1 overall class (high school recruits + international recruits + transfer portal) in the 2026 cycle. So not the gotcha they thought it was. But this shows the Arkansas-Texas rivalry is as strong as ever, at least on the hardwood. This must be what the Nolan Richardson-Tom Penders era felt like. Quote

They ended the BMW run. Texas would have beaten them during the season, but Nolan didn’t get a tech for walking off the floor. Quote

Maybe cause I’m a young but Arkansas has never been thought of as a rival and let’s be real Texas owns them in most things besides basketball and lately baseball Quote

This article written by Blake a little over a year ago explains it well, although it's referring to football. Not sure Texas has a rival in basketball on that level right now. Maybe Texas-Florida can become that level of rivalry in the SEC if Miller and Golden stick around at their respective schools and Texas can start winning some games against Golden over the next few years.
