Def don’t agree with the computer modeling on some of those teams.

UH isn’t what they have been on paper tha last 2-3 years.

Arizona isn’t there if Godfrey isn’t eligible.

Gonzaga isn’t there is they don’t get all their guys eligible.

Michigan isn’t there after McCoy injury plus losing a great coach

Texas Tech will have to get all their guys eligible to be that level

And Mizzou isn't even in the top 25. That's a top 10 team. Garbage in, garbage out.

I went to a donor practice today - a few observations: 1) David Punch appears to have much more range than I thought he had - he had a great looking shot and was hitting 3’s/long jumpers. I compl

At this point, I think the solution is pretty simple: you need to find a Kobe Bryant message board. Find a place where the entire purpose is discussing Kobe, ranking Kobe, reliving 1996, debating

With Spears Jr. ... he is making a fair # in year one from what I hear. This wasn't a bargain recruitment for Texas. That was Austin Goosby who took half of what BYU was offering to be at Texas. But t

He’s originally from Dallas, right?

Beckham Black official visit to Arkansas this weekend

Yep. Duke, Miami and USC after that.

7 OV's on the docket. USC one may still be a little iffy

Talked to a source post UNC OV ... Think Texas and Florida are ahead of them - as of today.

Still see Ark, Texas, Florida as most likely final three, but I would probably be nuts to count out Duke

I hope he's right by the time March rolls around, but no way Texas should be above Florida and Duke to begin the season.  I could make an argument they could be ahead of Illinois and even UConn, though. Top 7 sounds about right for Texas.

I do think Texas is potentially better at every position (not to start the season at SG), with one distinction ... Texas played two SF's last year and not a traditional 4 man, so they are combined.

Lead guard/PG: Isaiah Johnson upgrade over Pope

SG: Tramon Mark over Austin Goosby to start the season. Goosby has the future first round NBA draft, and possible lottery pick. But Mark has a huge experience advantage, and clutch moments over multiple years. By the last few games of SEC play, this could potentially be a push because Goosby has more playmaking ability and more ability to make plays on both ends and in transition.

SF/PF: Elyjah Freeman and David Punch over Cam Heide and Dailyn Swain. Swain is the best player among the four, but Punch could have close to the same impact in different ways. The combo of Freeman and Punch is two future NBA draft picks, and Texas will have a true 4-man so this one is pretty easy to go with.

Center: Matas 2026-27 over Matas 2025-26. Just natural progression of a player.

This is very key here in the discussion ... the bench/depth:

Mikey Lewis over Simeon Wilcher. This one isn't even close. Big upgrade.

Amari Evans over Chendall Weaver, but not by a wide margin early in season. Evans in year two, making the natural jump, will bring more to the team when you combine both ends of the floor and size. Teams literally didn't guard Weaver last year on the offensive end. While Evans numbers weren't impressive as a freshman, teams will have to honor him as an offensive player in year two. He's a more talented offensive prospect/player. Evans is very good defensively. Weaver made the hustle plays very few others do, so he has a lead there over 95% of players.

Marcus Spears Jr over Nic Codie (went with how the season ended with Codie playing). Not even close, even at 17 years old.

Bo Ogden over nobody from last season.

Lewis Obiorah and John Clark over last season. Wasn't the option last season, as early season Nic Codie was non-existent.

Will be fun to watch the team build, develop and hopefully gel.

This breakdown was elite. Looking at this tells you how good of a coach Sean Miller is. He got every bit that he could out of a team with a lot of holes. This roster brings better shooting and more guys capable of getting their own shot, while continuing to stay in the flow of an offensive set. Over the last 2 years, too many times guys had to force offense. I can see this team having no problems scoring 75-80 a game.
