@Jeff Howe could the ARod injury have been managed better by the staff?
Just hard for me to believe a hand injury from last yr should be having the effect its had this szn. He’s not even remotely close to what he was last before the injury and doesn’t seem to be getting better. Really holding this team back.

Tough to say. I feel like the issue with the staple could've been prevented, but that's speculation on my part.

There’s a lot of overreactions on this thread today. Good Lord…

Overreaction is the norm on this site specifically by baseball fans.

Credit the Longhorns for making things worth paying attention to in the ninth.

It's a three-run frame for Texas after Becerra's RBI double to right (Chapman couldn't come up with a diving catch). Two outs and A-Rod is up with Becerra on second in a five-run game, 14-9.

FINAL: Tennessee 14, Texas 9

It's just the second SEC series loss of the season for the Longhorns.

Texas drops to 36-12 on the season, 15-10 in SEC play.

I'm not a baseball fan, so excuse my ignorance. But from what I've followed a long this year, this team is wildly inconsistent lol. One minute they look great and the next they look like they can't do much of anything right.

Not sure if that's normal in baseball, considering how many games you play and how long the season can be but just my uneducated observation. Hope they get it sorted and make a deep run.

We’re sitting tied for 3rd in conference.  That tells you something.  We play the last place team at home next week.  A&M scored 18 in game 1 today for the win but is knotted at 5 in game 2.  There are wild swings. There are a small number of conference teams that have not been run ruled.  Think we are one of those.

College has a number of variables.  Midweek you can play to win or prepare for post season.  The only time your 4th starter comes into play in the postseason is a maxed out regional or if you hit the losers bracket.

The depth of hitters is greater than ever.  But that doesn’t mean teams have bench depth.  In spite of what some feel, you don’t transfer to sit.

Our overall record is around 6th best.  Were as deep as just about anyone in pitching.  That doesn’t mean it’s always on.
