Ever consider a feature, perhaps as a post mortem after each recruiting and/or portal cycle, on the whole recruitment process? I've always wondered how our staff identifies guys, engages with them, gauges their interest, etc.? What constitutes a great visit, outside of a stock post visit quote from a recruit?What happens (or not) when visits go bad? What elements of a visit really drive the process? How much thought goes into the choreography (How is the player host picked, where they go while they’re in town, how much assistant/head coach involvement)?   Are unofficials a better gauge of interest than officials? Also, if I had a dollar for every visit that "went great" only to hear we got dropped or jumped I'd be rich.

Just a bunch of stuff I've always asked myself.

Quinn Ewers special guest would be awesome. Some video ideas would be talking about QBs that Muschamp may be able to be successful against (Marcel, Mateer imo). Maybe building an All Sark Era roster position by position would be cool too. It’s tough during these months of the year, anything to get me to August lol. I think having guests for longer sessions would be cool at this time of year to hear more of their stories as well, maybe for an entire episode if possible.

I know we have the weekly bases loaded,  but maybe we can get a special addition for the SEC tourney.  I have seen questions as to if Schloss will try to be competitive or sit some of the more banged up guys.

More women’s sports coverage in general. The rowing national championship is the May 29-31. Women’s sports is big reason for Texas Director.s Cup success.

Can you do a baseball live show before the postseason starts either Regionals? I know I would love to be able to chat with the guys about how the season went and what we are looking for going into the postseason.

I think OTF is too much invested in gambling sponsorship!

The staff already crushes it with extensive knowledge and covering of high school recruits, but I would love to see broader and more systematic coverage of portal players—even grading or ranking them like you do for high school recruits. Go ahead and use Gerry’s +++++++ scale if you’d like.

 

I just think there’s some definite meat on the bone with the portal, and NOBODY in the industry has it totally cornered. Plus, I want to hear the OTF scouting report on portal players more than I do others in the industry who actively cover the portal.
