Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 32 minutes ago Author Moderators Posted 32 minutes ago With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Schloss is going to bring Connor McCreery into the game for his first appearance of the season. Schloss wanted to get McCreery on the mound in the regional, if possible, as a reward for everything he's done for the program in his two seasons with the Longhorns. McCreery, who came to Texas from South Carolina with injury issues, made three appearances last season. 1 Quote

Moderators Jeff Howe Posted just now Author Moderators Posted just now Regarding the pitching plan for the regional, Schloss said he didn't plan to use Volantis again this weekend, which is why he was extended today. He and Max Weiner brought Volantis back out for the seventh so that he could tip his cap to the crowd and get a well-deserved ovation. Quote
